Executive summary
Social media marketing has become one of the widely used forms of advertising. The
more the technology is advancing, the more social media keeps on evolving. This is giving many
businesses an opportunity to seek more and better markets despite the rising high levels of
competition being experienced in many industries and more so the fashion and textile industry.
Due to the fact that it’s an evolving concept, the tactics that we can employ today to market out
our products may not be productive, and this makes social media marketing a dynamic concept.
Introduction
To remain relevant in the textile and clothing industry, business needs to lias with expert
and professional in social media marketing and get to know what to expect. This will make them
enjoy the advantages of new opportunities as well as avoiding mistakes.
There are several social media platforms where someone can advertise their products.
Some of the commonly used and recommendable ones include the following;

Problem statement
Considering the case at hand, having run a clothing and apparel company, I opted to
conduct research on the use of social media to advertise my products. From the research, it was
evident from almost all sources that marketing through social media is one of the most versatile
and cost-effective methods and this could greatly help me reach my customers fast and in large
numbers. This report is a summary of the research findings alongside recommendations on what
most experts in the social media marketing argued about social media marketing.

Recommendations on why to use social media for advertising
Most textile and clothes potential customers will be found on social media
From a survey and research finding, most of the experts recommended the use of social media
for marketing my clothes with the supportive arguments that most of my future and potential
customers spend time on social media channels. From statistics, about 70 percent of the world
populations have at least one social media platform profile. The number is expected to be raised
after the other. With the current high and expected number of social media use on a daily basis,
it’s a great opportunity for our company to post the images of our clothing, prices and other
information relating to our product for our online audience to view. (Smith, 2018)
According to these experts, the viewing is always the first event. If the clothing material attracts
the customer, they tend to react by seeking contact information and posting comments or their
views about that particular clothing. This moment will now open up an opportunity for
convincing the customer by giving more details and offers for the clothing. Moreover, nowadays,
not only customers are on social media, but there is a high probability that most of them are
