INTRODUCTION
Sociology is the study of human societies and their interactions with the society of how to
change and preserve the methods in the society consisting of any topic of concern (Swedberg,
2020).
The report will analyse the data about structural inequalities related to class or gender.
Along with this, discussion will be done on education which provides both overcoming
inequality and reproduces existing structural inequalities. Further, ideals of education will be
discussed along with contemporary education and schooling. Comparing and contrast was done
on this basis.

Data about structural inequalities related to class or gender
Inequality is a kind of unequal treatment or perception of an individual on the basis of
their gender. Structural inequalities are one of the most common type of inequality which is
present in most of the organizations, system or in any other social network (Swedberg, 2020). It
is a kind of system in which privilege is created by organizations or social network among
people. This structural inequality is even present in education system as well. In education
system individuals (students, teachers) face structural inequalities on the basis of their class or
gender. In terms of class, these structural inequalities are faced by students especially girls. In
top reputed schools or public schools students from high class background are given more
priority. Due to this other middle class or low class family students face inequalities. These
priorities can be in terms of transportation facility, providing solutions, giving priority to high
class students problems etc. social inequalities are also present within educational system in
terms of gender (Walker and et.al., 2019). This social inequality in terms of gender is mostly
faced by girls. This inequality is faced by girls when it comes to physical activities, or other
work or activities that should be done by men due to orthodox thinking and mentality of people.
Discuss the ways in which education provides a means of overcoming inequality but also
reproduces existing structural inequalities
Education provides the means of overcoming inequality as the base of being educated and
enabling the education is that all the factors of having and gaining knowledge should be done on
the basis which provides clear and significant meaning to what has been learned. This helps in
improving the methods of gaining knowledge and along with this; main thing which an
