QUESTIONS
1. Using the personal care support plan you have been provided with, discuss how you
would go about determining the personal support requirements of the client, describe the
strategies you would employ to maximize client participation, explain how you would
provide personal support and address the workplace reporting and documentation you
would involve in the process.

In the personal care support plan, one can determine the personal
support requirements by identifying the health concerns or needs of the client. It requires
considering the needs of the person i.e. physical, and other problems related with the provision of
support. Furthermore, to enhance the level of participation, the
worker should first analyze the person’s own preferences for gaining personal support.
Providing them suitable or required information as an assistance, to meet their own
needs. Now, to provide personal support it is important to maintain proper
documents, preparing each task, adjusting tools, equipment if any, and checking them
with the supervisor. At last, it is important to fulfill the organization’s reporting

Clients personal support needs may be analyzed in in respect to the two of the following
mentioned aspects:
a. Bed bathing
Raising and lowering of the bed helps or assist the client when they move on and off the
bed. This is an essential need to reduce the level of stress on their back.
d. Oral hygiene
The aspect of oral hygiene requires to help the client put toothpaste on the brush, and it may
also help them to perform the entire thing in a right manner.
