INTRODUCTION Cultural basically affect the business working in both positive and negative way. The report is also based upon to understand the importance of culture in a company and it is supported through many authors as well. Report will critically evaluate the suggestion made in article on Hofstede's cultural dimension and then justifying it as per my opinion. Further report will make some further suggestions. MAIN BODY 1. Critically evaluating suggestions made in an article As per Hofstede, he identifies four different dimension of a culture that creates impact upon the business. He also made different suggestion such as cultures that score high on uncertainty avoidance dimension are tend to avoid some risk taking and that is why the firm within these cultures also have more rules in their workplace so that their employees will not deviate from their standards (Hofstede, 2010). Apart from this, Hofstede also made a suggestion such that when a firm has a brand image then it has to adjust many environments as well. That is why some company also focus on diversity of the employees in order to deal with customers in different countries. The author also states that if the cultural values of the people are different then organisational culture Is also different. Moreover, the author suggest that the culture of an employee who working in global business may also have different from the national culture and these values always reflect the national culture as well. It has been analysed that the organizational values are also specific to the mission statement that helps to guide the conduct and relationship with a stakeholder. On the other side it has been critically evaluated by the author that the values of an organization are also effectively made by a managers only in order to make sure that these values are highly visible and demonstrate so that each of an employee will understand it. Beside this, the author also suggested that the organization;s culture is further based upon the values, norms and some behaviour. He also describe that unlike values, norms are some behavioural expectation and it have a high degree of specificity that further requires a desirable behaviour in a form of policies and procedure. Lastly, he also suggested that with the change in culture, there is a need to change in communication especially in the social media so that it creates positive impact upon the individual and organization as well (Catora, Gilly, and Graham 2011). 1
2. Justification of the suggestions According to me, I am totally agreed that organization has to adjust with many different environment, because the company has to focus of the employees in order to deal with the customers in variety of countries. It is so because if the company have different variety of employees then they further explore many ideas in order to lead a business at further level of success. For example, if the company have employeeswho belongs to different culture and countries then they provide variety of ideas that ill helps to maximizes the profitability of a business.Apart from this I also agreed with the suggestion of Hofstede that the organization values mat not be same as the individual values. Because the top management will supported and provide guidance in order to develop a shared understanding for expected behaviour. This will also helps to understand the exact values of an organisation which further includes the ethical behaviour and some social responsibilities as well. In addition to this, I also agree with the statement of Hofstede, that when there is continuous change in communication, such as social media and social sharing, then the company should also change in their policies and procedure because it will directly creates impact upon an individual and an organization as well. Further, the national culture is also important in marketing and also helps to understand the consumer behaviour as well because it will help to determine the culture of the company that directly reflect the business outcomes. Moreover, on the other side I am totally disagree with the suggestion of Hofstede that the values reflect with the national culture because the organizational values are specific to a mission statement which further guides conduct and relationship within an organization. These values do not explore the values of a nation such that the employees are belonged to different culture but they do not reflect the national culture. Though they may reflect the culture but does not reflect a culture of nation. That is why I am not agreeing with this statement. 3. Further suggestion From the article it has been cleared that cultures plays an effective role in the business and that is why a company should have diverse workforce in order to take a business at further level of success. Therefore, it has been suggested that a firm should hire employees with different cultures so that they will explore different ideas in order to lead a business fora success. Apart from this, it s further suggested to a firm to have a top management who will lead or provide guidance to their employees in order to make them comfortable in the working area. 2

In this way, the employees who belongs to different culture will easily adjust to the workplace and helps the manager to achieve the goals with a specified period of time. Moreover, it has been further suggested that as national culture is quite important in marketing for an organization and it will also help to understand consumer behaviour, therefore the firm should develop those social media strategy as per the change in communication so that it will help to creates positive impact upon the customers and the employees as well. This will helps to sustain the image in market and raise the financial performance as well. CONCLUSION By summing up above report it has been concluded that culture plays an effective role in every business and for this Hofstede also provide four dimension related to culture and describe the values for a business. From the report it has been concluded critically the importance of culture and also provide different suggestion as well. 3
