INTRODUCTION
Social care workers assist a person and their family for both part and it is practical and
emotional where they can live happily and independently. The supporting workers within social
care home gives social, physical, emotional help to their patients that includes disabled, poor and
senior people (Jones, 2014). They assist young people and their family members for supporting
an individual by using services. Care tech provide different services and facilities to their
workers for take care of all patients.
TASK 1
P1 Identify roles of non direct care workers
A non direct care employees are those person who are not especially appointed to
particular place for care an individual. They serve and offer an enterprise but directly included in
specific job. There are different non direct care employees in the care homes that are described
as follows:
Laundry/cleaning staff- They are those individual who help in cleaning rooms, clothes,
change bed sheet and neat lounge. It is necessary for them is to clean the care homes for
satisfy the patients needs and requirements.
Managers- They have common skills and knowledge that involves communication, self
management, responsibility, and other business capabilities. They need to make sure that
entire care home that should smoothly run the business operations and activities.
Catering employees- The role of catering employees for preparing, making and serving
food to the residents and properly clean the whole kitchen in which they make food for
their patients (Kadushin and Harkness, 2014).
Maintenance- Care tech maintain their all employees is to formulate and develop in the
home care so they require to correct their mistakes and barriers.
Pharmacists- It is important section of each care home so they provide medicine to
residents for improving their health and should be maintained. They can easily access
minor harm or health of an individual.
P2 Outline interpersonal ability need for non direct care workers
There are various interpersonal skills which needed for non direct care employees which
are described as under:

Verbal communication skills- Effective verbal communication is depend on various
number of elements and it does not distributed towards required interpersonal abilities
such as non verbal communication, listening ability and adopt proper method. Non direct
care workers use verbal communication skill technique that assist in interacting with
common patients in appropriate manner (Lloyd-Evans and et. al., 2014). Non verbal interaction skills- In this communication skill, where a person communicate
with people by using gestures, dress, body language, presentation and face expression
that assist in interacting with different people. In Care Tech, few care workers use these
skills for interacting with people.
Application of care employees- It is that way where non direct workers should maintain
and establish various values and beliefs for taking care of all patients. This is necessary
for promoting diversity and equality within an enterprise. Non direct workers should
promote a single person rights and values for appropriately take care of hospital patients
in better manner. This is essential for care employees for maintaining their diversity
level, equality, communication skills and individual rights and values in proper way.

P3 Describe role of non direct workers in the operation of team
In Care Tech, there are several operations that need to be performed in a group of people.
to get work done by a team is a complicated activity as every individual has their own priorities
and therefore it needs to be coordinated with the goal of group so that common objective is
achieved (Knott and Scragg, 2016). Non direct workers perform a major role in the following in
the working of team which is discussed in the following manner:
Maintenance of confidentiality– There are certain information about the organisation
which has to be kept secured and in the same the contribution of non-direct care worker is also
vital. The strength of this group of people is high and hence by marinating the secrecy they
indirectly give contribution towards achievements of goals.
Supervision on subordinate workers – Different groups of non-direct care workers are
provided with the responsibilities of supervising workers under them so that they can get the
work done through others and help the team members of operation to carry out their own

activities in an appropriate manner. It is important that the small and less effective work is also
done in a manner that continuity of work is maintained.

P4 Explain role of non direct workers in maintaining security, health and safety in caring
environment
In Care Tech Home, it is required for maintaining health in sound and peaceful
environment that should be discussed as under: Follow hand hygiene procedure- The main duty of non direct employees is to manage
and coordinate health services in the care homes in appropriate way (Shardlow and et. al.,
2015). To protecting from dangerous diseases, an individual should wash their hand
before eating some food items. This is the role of care workers is to properly wash their
patients hand before eating.
Maintain high level of cleanliness- The another duty of care workers for maintain
cleanliness in whole care home so they can protect and prevent from harm or danger.
Maintain security in caring environment: Safe storage and disposition of wastage products and services- Care staff should secure
storehouse room and discard waste goods from outside care homes.
Use of component dangerous to health- In Care Tech, manager adopt and use latest
methods and techniques for protecting people from any dangerous harm or danger. So
they need to look after their health and try to maintain safety applications in proper
manner.
P5 Importance of management and supervision in the development of non direct workers
Though the work of different non direct care workers is not directly associated with the
core operations of Care Tech it is important that they are given proper supervision and training
so that their capacity can be raised and hence level of their efficiency will also get increased. The
importance is explained more in detail below:
Ensure effective utilisation of resources – The non-direct care workers carry out the basic
work which needs to be done with effectiveness so that safety and health of different associated
people is maintained (Cameron and et. al., 2014). For same they need to be provided with
training and learning so that they can do full capacity utilisation of their resources. Planning of

training programs should be done in a manner that they do not find it difficult to perform their
daily operations.
Promotion of good practice – When the non-direct care workers know that their work will
be supervised than they do better and effective work with a fear that any misconduct done on
their part will be recognised and action will be taken accordingly.
Development or relationship – By carrying out regular supervision on the daily work a
good connection is made between the management and the non-direct care workers (Importance
of supervision and management. 2017). This helps more in carrying out work by them which
further results into achievement of goals and objectives of the firm.
CONCLUSION
According to the project it can be analysed that social employees assist a person and their
relatives for both sides in which emotional and practical where they can live happily and
independently. Non direct employees are those individual which are not appointed to particular
place for caring people. They assist young people and their family members for supporting an
individual by using services. This helps more in carrying out work by them which further results
into achievement of goals and objectives of the firm.
