Introduction
In the present scenario, the management of sustainability in the countries is emerging issue
because the rise in the excessive use of the resources and plastic is affecting the environment.
The purpose of the report is to explore about Australian based organisation that is Plastic
Collective. The company is working with the motive to maintain the sustainability due to which
it is based on three fundamental pillars that include -
Empowering people with knowledge
Innovating new designs and materials and forming the practical
Reliable tools with machinery, which include Shruder machine.
The report will contain the significance of plastic collective and Australian international business
landscape. Further, research related to sustainability strategies is discussed which are majorly
used by the plastic collective with the motive to maintain sustainability. Along with this, the
sustainability issues are discussed which are faced by the plastic collective while conducting the
business operations. The situation analysis has been done in the report that includes the
different aspects like planning, organising, leading, and control. In the end, the
recommendations to the plastic collective are given considered the future strategies of the
company in mind. The engagement of management in the implementation of the suggested
strategies will contribute in improving the future management activities of the company.

Background of Plastic collective
The plastic collective company was found by Louise to develop and form machinery, with name
of The Shruder. The machine is one of the waste plastic shredding extrusion machines that
contribute in reducing the plastic waste. This has been found that Louise established a mobile
recycling mechanism with an informative platform that majorly emphasis on chemistry of
plastics and the way to transform the waste into different appreciated substances (Plastic
Collective, 2018). The workshop is conducted by the company with the motive to generate the
education with the motive to transform the plastic waste. The founder of the company works
with the motive to reduce or eliminate the waste. In addition, they believe that education is
one of the key components to the global change. Louise was a finalist for the awards of
sustainability (waste less reduce more) in the month of November 2016 (Plastic Collective,
2018).
This has been found that waste of plastic is flattering an emerging concern in the Asia Pacific
region with 370 million people on approximately 4000 islands are dealing with the issue of lack
of safe waste management. This is possible because approximately 11 million tons of the plastic
arrives to pollute the environment and seas (Plastic Collective, 2018). Thus, the mission of the
company is to reduce plastic waste for the betterment of the communities. This is the reason
the company make use of the Shruder Program that delivers the societies an end-to-end plastic
reprocessing resolution with the motive to create the appreciated reused plastic production in
the method of the shredded raw material, filament/cord, and moulded products (Plastic
Collective, 2018). The machinery is feasible enough as it allows the eradicating the preventive
cost of conveying waster of plastic majorly in islands and remote areas.
