You are a worker in a community services organisation, & through conversations in the work place it has
been noted that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients/colleagues feel they have little to no voice or
representation in the organisation.
It is also noted that there are currently no partnerships between the organisation and the local Aboriginal
and/or Torres Strait Islander community.
The organisation believes this is a critical need for the strategic direction for the organisation and has
asked your help in developing a Cultural Safety Policy.

By invovling them to be part of making strategies. Consulting the head of Aborigines communities is vital in
establishing strategies to enhance involvement of Aborigines people in learning , wellness and delivering
services to these communities. Following right principles and guidelines at time of doing activities with
Aborigines people invovle head of the communities and all people in the community. It is crucial to develop
positivity and respect among each other. Consulting is mostly done by two groups of people with both parties
learning in unison from each other.

By identifying problems that caused community disapproval and realize the issues that arose from those
groups that I grouped them together. Understand areas of misunderstandings and solve together with them

You have been asked to put together an information sheet for all staff in the lead up to Australia Day
regarding cultural safety considerations for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander staff members.
Information sheet this can be in any format that you choose:
Most of Aborigines people’s wellness is influenced by the environment characteristics
that affect wellness of an individual which leads to dirty and conditions which are not
hygiene and also leads to transfer of diseases and sicknesses. This is mostly witnessed
in remote places.The elements that have to do with environment status entails ;
impoverished living standards, overcrowding and poor hygiene conditions, leaking
sewages and facilities with poor sanitation and inadequate water supply and human
beings staying in the same places with animals. Wellness problems and treatment is not
targeted for unwell Aborigines only so that they can visit clinical areas for treatment and
the moment their sicknesses is at end stage. Dueto reluctance in finding treatment the
conditions worsens and become chronic and the treatment process becomes
complicated. Hiigh chances of it failing and also decreased life expectancy. The aetilogy

of late signs and symptoms are mostly due to decreased accessibility to better health
care facilities and delay to utilize these health centers that are for Aborigines.
Major components to consider in order to have safe cultural differences in working area
is by developing relations with many categories of people like:your colleagues, those
who supervises you and managers , personnels under your care their households those
who are new to you services or those health professional who are specialized in
formulating programs, case managers or staff members who coordinate services,others
who provide services like caring. The manner ones provide services with persons from
all of these categories of people is vital, as the relations one establish with them is an
perfect image of professionalism, also in your working area and the whole organizations.
One should have critical thoughts when giving a speech ,interacting and behaving and
offering services to others and mind about their beliefs, origin and characters. There are
a lot of means to create and maintain better relations with your workmates. This mostly
is dependent on the person and also responsibility of the one your relating with. Two
critical things to consider is mutual respect and tolerating the difference between
yourselves.
