ABSTRACT Teamwork is refers to working in team or group to achieve the targeted goal of the organisation The purpose of the project is to assess the importance of teamwork in health and social care inNHS. The teamwork in the organisation is important because without teamwork the firm is notable to achieve the goals and improve the care services provided in the organisation which willaffect the health of the patients as the proper care and treatment will not be provided by the firm.The healthcare professional in the health and social care by communicating with the teammembers are able to provide them knowledge and understanding through which they canimprove their performance and provide better care to the patients. This theory is effective inbuilding team and coordinating the work in the team to achieve the certain goals and objective ofthe health and social care. Therefore, researcher will effectively and efficiently asses the importance of teamwork inhealth and social care by applying inductive research approach. Researcher has used bothprimary and secondary data to collected the information in which questionnaire has prepared forsurvey. Researcher will effectively and efficiently asses the importance of teamwork in healthand social care by applying probabilistic simple random sampling. In this research, scholar hasapplied quantitative data analysis in order to asses the importance of teamwork in health andsocial care effectively and efficiently. Moreover, findings of the research stated that, As per thereviews, there are nine roles in belbin which makes an effective team, as per the secondary analysisthe team roles consist of action-oriented roles which include the shaper, implemented andcompleter finisher. It is important to work together in health and social care for motivating theemployees of the organisation and reduce the employees turnover.

CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION1.0 Introduction and backgroundTeamwork is important for achieving the goal in the health and social care. Theresearcher in this study will provide understanding about the ways through which NHS candevelop their teamwork and provide the employees in the organisation to work in coordination toachieve the common goals of the organisation. The Teamwork is man aged by interacting withthe people in the organisation which assist in building relation with the members of organisationand work collaboratively to achieve the desired result. In this study, it will include theinformation about the importance of working in team through which the certain aims andobjectives of the firms are achieved.The present research will consider NHS which is involved in providing health and socialcare services in UK. There are various department for the different health problems provided inNHS. With the help of teamwork and coordination the NHS is able to provide better careservices to the people by managing the work and proper allocation of the operations. Moreover,it will provide the aims and objectives on the basis of which the whole study will be prepared.Also, it will include the information about the importance of teamwork in health and social carethrough using the literature sources. Furthermore, in the present research it will include theresearch method which will assist in conducting the research in the specific manner.BackgroundTeamwork is refers to working in team or group to achieve the targeted goal of theorganisation. In health and social care the organisation main motive is to provide better careservices to the people to improve their health and provide them safe and healthy environment inthe care. Teamwork will assist NHS in providing better services in the care which will motivatethe employees of the organisation and will lead the firm towards the success and growth.Teamwork is important for patient treatment, care and safety. The healthcare members byperforming team they are able to provide the best Patient care. The teamwork assist in improvingthe patient responsiveness. It assists in allocating the duties and responsibilities with the teamwhich help in working together to solve various problem sharing in the healthcare to providebetter services to the patients. Team working assist in motivating the members of organisation to improve theirperformance and achieve the common goal of the firm. It increases the job satisfaction among

the employees working the health care that assist in improving the overall performance of thehealth and social care. Health and social care provide the patient with the best services to treatthe patient in better way to achieve the results of the organisation. Moreover, it reduces theemployee’s turnover in the organisation which is beneficial for the organisation and create apositive impact on the patient as well. The research will use the various sources to identify theinformation about the topic by using the primary and secondary sources.
