INTRODUCTION
In the present scenario, Hospitality industry is growing fast and it has become one of the
best business for generating higher revenues as well as developing economies of several
countries. This industry is major aspect of travel and tourism sector that depends on the
hospitality services as well. There are approx 180,000 hospitality that employ around 2 million
people. In this sector, different kinds of business included such as Hotels, Restaurants, Bars,
Pubs, Travel and Tourism, Catering and many more who are contributing more in the economy
and country development (Janta, 2011). This report is based on Marriott international is an
American multinational diversified hospitality company and it deals in providing number of
services such as luxury rooms, accommodation facilities, restaurants, transportations service to
guests and many more. This report will analyse the current scale, scope and diversity with
different organisational structure. This will assess the role of hospitality which is related with
professional bodies. Operational, managerial and legislative issues from recent developments
which affects to hospitality industry also will be discuss here.

1.1 Analyse the current scale, scope and diversity of the hospitality industry
In the modern era, hospitality sector is growing rapidly and they are contributing more in
developing the country as well as economies. It has positive impacts on society because they
provide employment opportunities to the social people which support in improving their living
standards and earning more to survive better. It can be analysed that at least more than 2.8
million people are employed within this sector which is based on trends and growth as well. The
hospitality sector of United Kingdom included number of businesses such as accommodations,
food and beverages, bars, restaurants, contract catering, clubs and pubs etc. This can be
understood by considering several types of current businesses such as:
Hospitality Services: This is one of the biggest industry which support another sectors as
from hotels to restaurants (Jones, 2016). They focus on providing various management facilities
such as food and drinks, security and housekeeping etc. this industry always consider the
segmentations such as travels, health care, government provisions, retails, education, corporate
hospitality, concerts events, leisures venues and sports events. There are many of businesses
including in hospitality industry who contribute in economies development of the country. For
