INTRODUCTIONSuccess of organisation depends upon the working and ability of manager. The manageris required to have important skills which helps in regulation of the activities of company. Largenumber of styles are adopt by the manager in this regard like management styles, leadershiptheories etc. This helps in increase the skills of the employees and contributes in motivation atworkplace (Beck, Demirgüç-Kunt and Levine, 2010). The manager should posses goodcommunication and leadership skills this helps in achievement of their personal andorganisational targets. All these characteristics of manager are helps in maintenance ofemployees relation and positive atmosphere at workplace. So, it is the responsibility of managerto guide the employees and operate functions effectively. Hilton is the global brand whichprovides the services of hotels and resorts in more than 85 countries.In the present report explain about, different management styles, leadershipcharacteristics, communication process which are used in organisation, organisational cultureand changes in businesses, own management skills performance and personal SWOT analysis.Here also describe about, motivational theories which are used for motivation of employees andsupport of managerial and personal skills in development of personal and professional career.TASK 11.1 Comparison of two management styles which are used in two different hotelsManagement styles plays an important role in organising the employees and staffmembers. These styles are used by the management in getting together the employees at sameplatform and carry out best out of them. This helps in achievement of their desired targets. Thereare many management styles available like, authoritative, participative, Free-rein, affiliative etc.All these styles have their own characteristics and have their own importance on the working oforganisations (Bianchi and et. al., 2011). Hilton and Holiday Inn are big brand and provide theservices of hotels and resorts. Large number of employees are working to effectively accomplishtheir targets. Management of both hotels use different management styles to effectively managetheir employees and staff members. This management style is used by themanagement of Hilton to manage theiremployees and effectively complete theirfunctions. Under this style, all the decisions aretaken by the higher authorities. This helps insaves the time and taken effective decisions byusing their experience and knowledgeregarding important aspects. This helps ineffective direction of their employeesregarding their roles and responsibilities whichare required to perform by them inachievement of their tasks.This management style is used by managementof holiday Inn in providing the direction totheir employees and motivate them to performtheir functions. This style includes about takingviews and feedbacks of their employees whiletaking decisions about important aspects. Thisin understand the problems which are faced bythem at workplace and solve such problems ineffective management. This enhance thedecision making power and helps inachievement of their targets effectively. 1.2 Leadership characteristics within two different organisationsLeadership: This is the important term skills which is required to have by leader to buildeffective teams in organisation and motivate them to complete their tasks within stipulated time.This quality requires the initiative taken by the leader to deal with the problems and providedirection to their team members. So, this includes about the ability of individual to lead otherindividuals, groups or entire organisations.
