Part A
Student A
It has been understood that the first student is using both the Interpretivism and Positivism
method for its research study. On the other hand, it can be observed that the other two students
are also using these methods for their particular work. In contrast, it has been noticed that
Student A is using questionnaires and interviews for understanding the opinion of the customers
in brand awareness and brand loyalty (Cowling, 2016). Thus, it has been observed that other
students are not using questionnaires for conducting their research work. Apart from this, it has
been noticed that the topic of Student A is ‘Impact of brand awareness on consumer/brand
loyalty: A study of Character Licensing brand.’ which is different from the research topic of the
other two students. With the help of these methods, the research scholar (Student A) will be able
to identify the issues that are leading in the Asian Market. Another similarity that can be
observed in the process of criticizing both the methods i.e. Positivism and Interpretivism.
Student B
The research topic of Student B is related to human resource management and organizational
issues. It has been noticed that Student B also uses the Interpretivism and Positivism methods for
its particular research study. For understanding the impact of practices of HRM on the
organizational commitment, the research scholar (Student B) uses the quantitative research
method. Along with the questionnaire process, Student B also uses the close interview process. It
has been noticed that rather than criticizing the methods like Student A, the research scholar
preferred the Interpretivism approach for the research topic. According to student B,

Interpretivism approach will be helpful for conducting the research. Differences can be observed
in the research topic where on one hand, Student A uses consumer loyalty and behavior and on
the other hand, Student B uses the HRM practices in the organizational context. With the help of
this, the research scholar will be able to ask the participants about the issues that are affecting
their brand awareness and organizational context, respectively.
Student C
On the other hand, it has been noticed that Student C aims at creating a relationship between the
messages sent through social media and the consumers’ behavior. In this research, the positivist
approach is used, which is creating a difference from the other students’ researches. Quantitative
analysis is used for understanding the responses if the consumers in the selected countries of
Europe (Ryan, 2018). Another difference that can be observed is that this research study uses
mathematical measurement and statistical measurement for understanding the relation between
the two variables. Apart from this, it has been identified that the research scholar uses survey and
telephonic interviews for gaining some knowledge differences in the satisfaction level in
different countries. Thus, it can be stated that the research topic of these three students is quite
different from each other. However, both the research topic of Student A and Student B is related
to the consumers’ satisfaction and behavior.

Introduction
In this following assignment, the main focus is on human resource management and
development and its significance in the public sector of South Africa. On the other hand, the role
of SETA in South Africa’s public sector can also be understood in this work. It states the
methods that are needed to be taken and along with this, it also explains about the needs of using
the training and development procedures for the betterment of the employees in the organization
of South Africa. It also describes the way of delivering the productivity and improvement of
service quality. The following work provides some research questions and also explains the
motivation for the research work.

The present topic states about the importance of human resources and the strategic development
in South Africa and SETA’s. It has been understood that for the purpose of training and
development in South Africa, certain steps are taken into consideration. Human resource
management plays a vital role in the development of South Africa and SETA’s. It has been
noticed that the strategies that are used in the human resource development processes are helpful
for understanding or tracking the share of the Governments in the NGOs, businesses, educational
sectors and workers of the South African societies (Ngandu et al., 2017). In other words, it can
be stated that human resource development strategies help in understanding the need for standing
with the Sector Education and Training Authority. The main aim of human resource management
is to identify the issues that are approaching in the path of development. On the other hand, it

also aims to prepare certain plans that will be helpful enough for the people of South Africa to
participate in the training and development process.
Human resource management helps in supporting the economic growth and programs for
bringing development among the people of South Africa. It has been noticed that human
resource uses different strategies for SETA’s betterment. With the help of these, the HRD will
also be able to provide training and education to the people of South Africa. Thus, it can be

distance education. Through this method, the staff members are given better facilities that are
sufficient enough for them. In the context of, Jinabhai, (2005), it has been understood that South
African people are getting huge benefits because of the developmental strategies in human
resource management and SETA.
In accordance with, Jinabhai, (2005), it has been observed that employees of the organization are
getting facilities from both human resource management and from SETA. Sector Education and
Training Authorities are providing development skills strategy with the help of HRM. In addition
to this, it has been noticed that South Africa is providing development and training facilities to
the employees for their growth and development. With the help of such facilities, the employees
will also be able to tackle the situations that are coming in their path.

South Africa?
With the help of these research questions, the research scholar will be able to understand the
impact of HRM policies on the business operations of companies in South Africa in accordance
with the assistance of SETA. There is a link between the research topic and the research
questions as both of them tries to make the study more specific. From the research topic, the
important issues that are needed to be considered can be understood. Depending on this, the
research questions are made.
The research scholar found this topic interesting as with the help of this topic, the matters of
SETA will be acknowledged. Along with this, the scholar will also be able to identify the human

For this research study, different methods and approaches can be considered. From the viewpoint
of the students, it has been understood that with the help of Interpretivism approach, the research
scholar will be able to conduct the survey and interview. On the other hand, the research scholar
needs to take the inductive approach for this research work. The questionnaire will be conducted
among the employees of the public sectors. In addition to this, the interview is also carried on
among the managerial heads of human resource management. With the help of this method, the
research study will have proceeded. Both qualitative and quantitative methods are needed to be
considered.
With the help of the primary data collection method, adequate data will be gained, which will be
helpful for the research scholar to support its research study with a quality amount of evidence.
On the other hand, secondary data collection method is also used for gaining information from
the valuable sites and journals (Bell, Bryman, and Harley, 2018). For collecting data, the
research scholar needs to write an invitation form to the respondents for asking them to support
the research by giving their opinions. For maintaining the ethical consideration, the research
scholar needs to avoid biases while conducting the survey and interview. On the other hand, the
scholar needs to gain data from recently published journals.
Conclusion
From the above discussion, it has been observed that the research topic states about the

The research scholar has chosen this topic to analyze the scenario of the organizations in South
Africa and also to gain some knowledge about the needs of the workers.
