required to be seen and controlled so that harm is reduced and profit is increased. The factors
which are involved in planning and development of tourism industry can be seen as:
Political Factors
Political Factors are those which involves stability and instability of government in
economy. When governing body is not stable it will result in riots, terrorism and attacks which
will make visitors hesitant to arrive country (Bailoa and Cravo 2020). When regular fluctuation
is there in ruling party it will reduce coordination among government bodies and organisation
which will contradict the performances of those organisation. When the ruling party doesn't
support industries and create barriers in smooth execution of firms and industries, trade relations
will not be built and previous ones will also be broke.
Social Factors
Social or cultural factors are those which are rooted in the society. The perception of
residents, dynamic values and cultures, behaviours of individual, social norms, life styles, moral
values, rituals and much more. When culture is very rich, tourists will be attracted to visit and
enjoy the rituals and beliefs. The change in pattern of lifestyle and beliefs will help significantly
in attracting or declining visitors. When local residents do not support visitors and their beliefs
they will not visit, thus tourism will be reduced.
Economic Factors
Economic factors are the financial forces which affect tourism. As these decide what cost
will be charged for respective product or service (Gardiner and Scott 2018). The economic
factors like inflation and deflation rates will affect the services and products which ever will be
consumed by visitors. The rate of exchange of currency will also affect the expenditures which
are spent. Tourism can result in catering a high amount of foreign currency and can help in
maintaining the trade equilibrium which is also an economic factor.
