Introduction
Operations and management is related with the planning
of all organisational goals and objectives, organise all
human as well as financial resources and control them to
accomplish defined goals. It is basically administration of
all organisational activities to achieve high level of
efficiency. It is the process to convert raw material and
labour effects into the goods and services in order to
maximise profitability of organization.

Leaders and managers
Leaders- Leader is a person that leads all employees
and members of particular group to achieve determined
goals in defined time period.
Managers- Managers manages all organisational
activities. Basically manager is a person who manages
and carry all primary managerial functions. They have
right to hire employees, fire them, maintain discipline
within organisation and evaluate all functions to ensure
organisation's success.

Characteristics of
managers
Characteristics of managers- Managers are the person who
manages all functions of organisation and evaluates their
effectiveness. There are some characteristics are discussed that
are helpful for them to complete their task are following:
Understands the value of employees- Managers of British steel
have quality to appreciate employees that contribute in the
attainment of organisation goals and employees.
Effective communication and listening skills- Managers of
British steel should have effective communication as well as
listening skills(Choi, 2019).
Make appropriate decisions- British steel managers are able to
take affective decisions in the critical situation and direct
employees to complete task in better way. Decisions are taken at
every level of organisation, so they should be according to
situation.
