attractive sea side locality which have a strong potential for becoming one of the popular
tourist destinations in the world. The location has sandy beaches, rugged rocks and presence
of cliffs which make Clipper Bay a perfect place for the tourist and tis therefore one of the
major tourist attractions (Benur & Bramwell, 2015). The place needs revitalization as it is a
famous tourist destination and is also characterized by high diversity and the locality also
comprises of fragile ecosystem. There is presence of both positive and negative effects of
tourism present in the economy.
The importance of the tourism planning are to make sure that the planners understand
the significance of tourism and take in to account while preparing the development plans and
also taking the planning decisions (Cook, Hsu & Marqua, 2014).The significance of tourism
is to ensure that people involved in the tourism industry understands the principles of the
national planning policy which are generally applied in tourism and how it can be applied
while preparing the individual planning application. Profitability should not only be the only
means of tourism there should be also be some aspect of keeping the environment safe in
nature. The activity of tourism should also follow the sustainability off the environment along
with the region. It is quite important for preserving the nature and the natural resources which
will be available at the place. The paper also shows that there is a presence of a lot
comparative advantage relating to tourism in Clipper Bay.
Tourism planning also makes sure that the planners and the tourism industry both
work together effectively in order to facilitate and promote new tourism development in a
very sustainable way. The tourism planning is quite similar to the general planning. Tourism

location both domestically and internationally.
How tourism is affected to negative and positive impacts
Tourism is most of the time seasonal in nature and impacts only after some time.
There are mainly three categories affecting tourism which are environmental impacts, socio
cultural impacts and the economic impacts. The tourism affects the place both positively and
negatively. Some of the positive effect includes rise in the reserves of the foreign exchanges,
as tourists arriving in the country will be bringing in valuable foreign exchanges. It is
therefore boon for the local economy which will help in proving employment to a large
number of people (Benur & Bramwell, 2015). Tourism also help in supporting the local
commercialisation which will result to free interchange of the ideas and customs.
However, there are presence of negative impacts of tourism. Some of them which
includes drain on economy which states that for attracting huge number of tourists. For
attracting the tourists there need to be rise in the creation of the infrastructures which can also
affect the place negatively. With the arrival of the tourists it also led to increase in the cost of
the essential goods for the locals. There is also presence of many kind of social and
environmental issues as it causes significant damages to the environment. In short it can be
said that the tourism have both positive and negative impacts in the industry (Cook, Hsu &
Marqua, 2014). Although one of the biggest problems that the society faces is the tourist hot
spots is the problem related to drug and the alcohol abuse. People arrival in the tourist
destinations should also behave according to the law of the place.

environmental impacts, socio cultural impacts and economic impacts. The environmental
impacts usually affect the carrying capacity of the place, vegetation, the quality of water and
the natural phenomena. On the other hand, the socio cultural impacts is association with the
interaction present between two people and their cultural background, attitudes and
behaviours. Introducing the tourists in the sensitive areas can be quite detrimental and can
result to losf culture Lew, 2014). The economic impacts are seen to be positive in nature
which generally contributes to the employment, better services and presence of social
stability. Tourism might also improve the level of education which is not considered all the
times.
Importance of consulting with the stakeholder
The stakeholder is the one who can affect or gets affected by the actions of any kind
of corporations. The stakeholders are therefore those groups without whom the organization
would does not exist. The stakeholders in the tourism development includes national
government, local governments, employees of the tourism, tourism education, local
populations and the trade unions of the tourism employees.it also comprises of the travellers,
local populations and the institutions engaged for financing the projects of tourism. In the
recent day’s tourism have received a significant amount of interest and focus from the people.
The stakeholders can usually affect the actions, objectives and the policies of the
organization. For achieving a sustainable development, the stakeholders play a crucial role in
all the stages of tourism development process which includes policy making to project
implementation. It have also been found out that tourism will be also achieving greater levels
of sustainability when all the stakeholders participate in the development (Balomenou &
Garrod, 2014). Both the policy and strategy documents includes involvement of the
stakeholder. Although there is a presence of positive structural moves, there is also presence

significant in the organizational life across the public. Tourism development should be
considered in a sustainable way. With the world’s largest economic sectors, there have a lot

Advantage of comparative advantage and how tourism industry can support economic
revitalization
The flow of tourism is explained with the demand side factors such as growth of the
income in the developed countries and changes in the preferences of visitors. The theory of
the comparative advantage have been from Ricardo’s insight in the fact that benefits from
trade specializes in the production of the services and goods (Sharpley, 2015). Tourism have
many positive effects such as increase in the jobs, increase in the wealth of area and the high
quality of life for the locals. Tourism also provides economic stimulus to allow for
diversification of the employment and income. Tourism can help in revitalizing the economy
by increasing the rate of jobs.
The place Clipper Bay is a small place although it has many comparative advantages.
The comparative advantages of the tourism of any place generally depends on the availability
of the resources, infrastructure and the quality. As not a large number of people are engaged
in any kind of economic activities, therefore there is a presence of good scope for labour in
case of tourism activities at the Clipper Bay. The easy access to the resource availability also
helps in attracting tourists in Clipper Bay. As the place have huge supply of the marine
products, the sea food items therefor will be helping in meeting the food expectations of the
tourists (Balomenou & Garrod, 2014). Presence of natural attractions in the Clipper Bay have
been quite advantageous for the tourists. With the presence of both sea and mountain,
Clipper Bay have been one of the famous tourist destinations. These are some of the reasons

(Airey & Ruhanen, 2014). The visitors are generally of three types like tourists who visits
different beaches, parks and festivals. In case of tourism every development depends on the
need of the visitors. With proper analysis, the required facilities which need to be
implemented needs to be identified. The infrastructure development generally includes the
transport facilities, healthcare facilities and the water management facilities. The population

of the country. Tourism also leads to rise in the business activities of the shops, restaurants
and many other things. It also provides the opportunity to the particular region or increasing
their profits. When a particular place is appreciated by the visitors, the popularity of the place
increases which will in turn increases the activity of the tourism of that place.

also does not support a constant flow of economy for the region. In many cases it have been
found out that the money which have been earned from the tourists are used for benefitting
the tourists. Therefore, there is absence of any kind of balance that needs to be served for the
benefits of the country. Also the hotels and restaurants which are which are owned by the
foreign companies will not be adding to the advantage to the economy of the country.
Socio cultural advantage and disadvantages in developing tourism in Clipper Bay
The social and cultural impact will affect the impact the social changes in the lives of
the people and improvements in infrastructure and lifestyle changes. Tourism have various
impacts on both social and cultural aspects of the life of a particular region. There are
presence of both positive and negative impacts of tourism which is related to the socio
cultural effect. The socio-cultural effect of tourism includes the process through which
tourism can change the lives of the people inhabiting by providing financial stability to the
people. Tourism can also help in creation of man kind of new jobs for the residents present in
the locality which will also help in raising the standards of the people (Cornelissen, 2017).
With the growth of tourism, the growth of local handicrafts industry will also rise. The people
can therefore earn a lot of money by engaging themselves in various kinds of trade activities.
Mass tourism can also lead to rise in rate of criminal activities which can pose a huge threat
to the security of the local inhabitant’s present. In order to boost tourism, a large amount of
money have been invested for preserving the local heritage for improving the infrastructures
and facilities.

The negative impact on the socio-economic cultures of tourism are also present. One
such effect is that the local people might copy the lifestyles of the tourists which could lead to
loss of local culture and may also create unrest among the people. Some of the inhabitants
might also enter in to the criminal activities in order to fetch more money from the tourists
leading to rise in the crime rate and loss of moral and religious values (Dredge & Jamal,
2015). Due to huge amount of flow of tourists, it may lead to overcrowding, poor sanitation
which can also lead to diseases affecting the tourists.
Environmental advantage and disadvantages in developing tourism in Clipper Bay
With the rise in tourism, there will be rise in the development of infrastructure at
Clipper Bay and will also lead to water and air pollution. The seaside will also get polluted as
a result of tourism. As tourism increases, beautification of nature and its reestablishment are
also need to be done. Disadvantage include littering of food articles and garbage everywhere.
The quality of the environment which are both natural as well as made are quite significant to
the tourism (Airey & Ruhanen, 2014). Most of the issues can be easily solved by planning
efficiently. The tourism activity will be generating a huge revenue for the locality and the
revenue which will be collected can be utilized for maintaining the place properly. Both the
governments as well as the non-government organizations will lead to public appreciation of
the environment along with the natural resource. This can be done with the help of various
environmental campaigns and educational programs. The development of the luxury tourism
can be combined with the conservation of environment by encouraging resource
development.

It has been found out that the tourism can help in stimulating the economic

of the place. The comparative advantages therefore will be helpful in creating a better
environment for the purpose of the tourism.
