INTRODUCTION
Transferable skill plays a major role in the health and social care industry using which the
company can built empathy, flexibility and team work with the company. Here for the study
Orchardville company is taken which is a social firm. The firm helps the disabled and Autistic
Spectrum persons helping in providing employment. For the study responsibilities and
effectiveness is taken under consideration. Recommendation is made along with the motivational
technique under the study (Kirkpatrick, Hoque. and Lonsdale, 2019). Work based problems and the
time management strategies are discussed. Team Dynamics and the tools and methods are
studied in detail.

P 1 Own responsibilities and performance Objectives.
Responsibilities.
There are various responsibilities of me working under the health and social care sector
and the same are mentioned below:
Ensuring the communication effectiveness
It is the most important thing to make sure that the message is delivered to all the
departments under the HCS effectively. For example the appointment team for the patient must
make ensure that the appointment must be as per schedule and the treatment of the patients must
be done as per the appointment, there must not be any communication delay due to which other
patients suffer.
Effective plan for health care
It is very important to design a health care plan in order to provide a quality health care.
In which what are the benefits as well as harms along-with the outcomes must be mentioned
(Franklin. and et.al., 2019). What are the possible health care services and what are the possible
drugs which can cure the disease must be mentioned in the plan.
Manual handling.
It is the utmost responsibility to check whether the patients are managed properly or not.
If the number of patients is large then it creates chaos and the same must be managed in order to
satisfy them well. If there is any staff which is missing then it is the responsibility of the
employee to take his or her position and keep going the work. For example if the patient is old

and the same the guy who is having the responsibility to push the chair of that guy is missing
then the same must be handled by the employee by replacing that guy.
Deal with health and safety
It is the responsibility of the employee to regularly check the health of the patient and the
same must be provided with proper medicines. There should also be proper management of
medicines in which the patiences must not be sent them back disappointed (Hunt. and Mason, 2019).
If the medicine is out of stock or not properly managed then it will result in delay in time for
treating the patient.
Dealing with the Risk assessment in work context
In order to minimize the problems related to safety of the patients the risk assessment
must be applied. Under the Risk assessment the patient which is facing the most problems must
be given priority (Kirkpatrick, Hoque. and Lonsdale, 2019). Under which what are the potential
risk of not giving the serious patients' priority treatment must be analysed and the same must be
reflected while giving priority.
Improving the semi quarterly for the semi issues
If the problem of the patient is not that major than the same must be categorized in the
semi quarter field and the treatment of the patient must be improved considering the semi issues.
For example for the viral disease the environment in the HSC must be clean so that it do not
affect others.
Team work engagement
It is the responsibility of the employee to engage the members of the team fully and with
dedication. Work distribution and work allocation must be made in the team in which each one
must be responsible for the work allocated.
Performance objectives.
They are the targets which are set on the basis of quarterly, semi-annually and also on
annual basis. SMART is used for the performance objective.
Specific.
The objective of the company must be clear and also the future vision of the company
must also be clear. Here for me the objective will be Quality service with cost effective
approach.

The objective must be measurable in which the company must be able to measure the
actual performance with the planned performance (Atkinson, Collis. and Schneider, 2018). The
Measurement for me will be achieving the customer satisfaction level by 100%.
Attainable
The goals set by the company must be attainable in which the company must focus on
setting the targets which are effective and attainable in which the target of me set is setting beds
for the patients around 60% next year.
Relevant
The objectives set by me must be relevant to hospital industry and not the other industry.
The objective for me will be development of parks in the hospital which will give the message of
prevention is better than cure.
Time Bound
The time boundation for the objective of the company will be 5 years in which the
company must completed the social welfare as well as improving the service quality of the
company.
It is very important to set issues and services because this will lead to management and
management will result in better performance of the HSC. Currently as an employee I am
focusing on making a plan in which all the set targets are details are mentioned. As per the set
targets the focus of achievement of mine will be on providing the best treatment by best service
in the market in much cost effective way. This can be done by increasing the budget for the
service in which premium quality service is provided to all customers. Only higher prices will be
charged from the one suffering from severe disease. The targets which are met so far are the 100
automatic beds fixation and quality wheel chair (McClean. and et.al., 2019). As per the health
and social care act 2012 it is important to maintain the quality of service in which the doctors
must treat the patients well and with all the best service they can provide.
1.2 Own effectiveness against the objectives.
The effectiveness of mine in order to achieve the objectives are as follows:
Time Management
I am having time management skills in which the shift of the doctors can be done by me
in order to better manage the patients. This will help the patients to be managed at all time

whether it is night or day. This will help in achieving the objective of attainable of the target set
by me.
Planning and organizing the work
I am having the ability to make plan and as per the plan manage the work in which what
time is appropriate for the patients' treatment will be seen after viewing availability of the
doctors for the relevant patients (Cronin. and Hawthorne, 2019). There are various activities such
planing for finance and planing for the operation and customer service which will be done by me
after doing analysis of the work culture of successful hospitals. This will help me in achieving
the objective of Measurable and time boundation.
Implementation of the plan.
Implementation of plan will done by me in order to get the best possible results in which
I will focus on timely action towards the plan and also timely implementation of the deviation in
the plan as per the requirement of the situation. This will help me in achieving the objective of
being specific to the plan.
1.3 Recommendation for the improvements.
There are various areas in which there is much need for the improvement and the same
are as follows:
Sensibility
Sensibility hinders me to fairly evaluate the performance of others and using the
emotions I used to take decisions which can be partial. This factor of mine must be improved in
order to produce better results and fair judgement.
Lack in patience
I am also having lack in patience in which I used to loose temper and used to take
inappropriate actions which forces me scold the subordinates (Marín, Tur. and Challinor, 2018). I must
improve them in order to have effective and efficient results which makes me calmer and
focused towards the work and this will also change my working style.
Too honest
Instead of being diplomatic I used to be too honest which results in taking inappropriate
actions which are not necessary for me as well as company. I must improve this weakness of
mine by trying to be diplomatic and clever.

360 degree appraisal
This is the appraisal in which all the employees of the company rate the performance of
the company in which all the factors of the employee form part of it. Such as behaviour of the
employee, performance of the employee, mistakes made etc. On the basis of which appraisal of
the employee is made. The advantage is increase in overall analysis of employee and the
disadvantage is may lead to partiality.
Manager vs employee
As per this the manager must be loyal towards its employees and the employees must be
loyal to its managers (Cronin. and Hawthorne, 2019). The advantage is the increase in
productivity and the disadvantage is increase in gossips.
CPD model- online training.
The online training will help the employees give training in much cost effective and
much innovative way. The advantage is it is cost effective and the disadvantage is it may lead to
lack of understanding.
Inclusive approach.
Equality among the employees plays a major role in which the issues such hesitation and
sensitivity will be addressed by giving all the employee equal rights for all the things. Diversity
is another factor using which specific cultural and tradition of the employees will be kept in mind
this will lead to emergency of feeling in employee that they are respected in the company.
1.4 Motivation techniques in order to improve performance.
There are various motivation techniques which if used by me will help me in improving
the performance.

I will focus on radiating positivity by making laugh the audience, playing games in the
garden and also spreading fun around. This will make me enthusiastic and energized and the
same will result in improving my productivity towards the work.

As per this theory the behaviour of the employees is boosted in order to derive maximum
results from them. The behaviour of the employees in which I will focus on motivating the team
members and the same will help in making the audience positive and me also positive. Spreading

Maslow theory of motivation
As per this theory the employees of the company are motivated to achieve certain things

2.1 Work base solution for the problem in the case study.
After reading the case study it is found that Mark was having the Autistic Spectrum
Disorder in which he used to take extra time for the work. There was also a trial for a six months
in order to find out at what factors Mark is bad at and to improve those factors. The problems
faced by Mark was he was finding very difficult to fix the sling to the hoist which is appropriate.
HOW TO RESOLVE PROBLEMS
There are many ways using which the problems can be resolved as one is mentioned in
the case study which is increasing the working hour for Mark so that the stress level of Mark can
be managed and also the working of the Mark can be managed.
Training and development of the employees must be improved in which they must be
known how to use advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence are made known to them
(McClean. and et.al., 2019). This will lead to just setting the system and the system automatically
detect the problems and will also find out ways for solving the problem this will lead to auto
solution of the problem.
To fix the sling to hoist proper training must be given to the employees in which they
must be taught how to effectively use the machinery in order to bring the desired result more
quickly. Without giving training it is obvious that the employee will take time to complete the
task.

2.2 Variety of styles at different level in a manner which is appropriate.
There are various styles which used appropriately at appropriate level can result in
effectiveness and efficient results. There will be three levels of communication which will be top
level communication, middle level and bottom level.
Lower level communication.
Under the lower level communication appropriate team will be made in which the team
will focus towards training of the employees for a month in which wheter the employees is fit for
work will be determined and the same information will be passed to the middle level
management. The communication style used here will be Assertive in which what are the needs
and wants of the employees are made known to the middle level management.
Middle level management
The communication will be received by the middle level management from the lower
level management in which the machinery training and the software and programming training
will be given and the same will be used for knowing the efficiency level of the employees. In
which the communication of how much the employee is efficient and whether the employees has
passed the test for machinery and software learning will be passed to the top level management.
The communication style used here will be Assertive-Passive in which at some level the needs
and wants of the employees will be taken into consideration and at some level they will not be
considered because the same are already determined (Von Schenck. and et.al., 2018). The information
will be conveyed to the Top level management about the employees.
Top level management
This is the final level of the employee in which whether the employee is completely fit
for the work will be known and the same will be used for the preparing the report of the
employee in which the employee performance will be shown to them. The top-level management
will do communication with the employee in order to show them where they were and where
they have reached now. The communication style used here will be Passive which will be
ultimately be used to convey the message to the employees. This will be used for fair
presentation of the report to the employees.

2.3 Time management strategies.
Time management strategies are the strategies which are used for management of the
time in which planning of the time and the planning of the task which are required to be
completed are mentioned in that strategies. The time management strategies used are as follows:
Stop procrastination.
In order to avoid the change within the current situation at Orchardville Company it is
must to avoid procrastination in which what are necessary changes such as enrichment of
employees and training of the employees will be done with full focus.
Dynamic list of the tasks.
A list which is dynamic will be prepared which will help the company in adding the tasks
which may be required in the future and also this will help the company to do maximum and
diversified task under the list (Leralta. and et.al., 2018). Training for the same will be given to the
employees which will help them to manage the work which is of multitasking.
Minimising the interruptions
If proper training is given to the employees then this will result in minimum interruptions
which will lead to save a lot of time and the same will result in utilising the time in other
activities such as bed management, service management, employees management and various
other activities.
Reviewing the day
Under the review of the day whatever the activities done by the employees will be made
known to them and analysis of the same will done in which what are the areas they are required
to focus on will be made known to the employees (Franklin. and et.al., 2019). This will lead to make
planing in which what are the things which can be done differently next day will be made known
to the employees. This will lead to sharing of the area in which the employees are lacking and
how to improve the area in order to save the time.

3.1 Roles of people in a team and how they achieve the goals.
There are various roles which are played by the people in order to achieve the shared
goals and the same are reflected as follows as they are of five types:

The people are the extrovert people to whom the task is assigned which is dynamic and
relish. These people are shark in mind and they used to accomplish the complicated and

Action oriented: Implementation
These are the people which are more believer of the implementation of the plan rather
making a plan in a team. These members are practical and believe in quick action with well-
organized attitude (Higham. and Phelps, 2019). These member helps in achieving the goal of

then using the technology the same can be automatically divided into parts and the time as well

As per the study it is concluded that there are various factors and and not the single factor
due to which the effective management of the work in the organization takes place. The factors
are motivation, responsibilities, recommendation, identifying the problems, analysing the
problem and then finding ways to solve the problems. The employees problems are must to be
resolve and if the employees are suffering from disease like Disabilities and Autistic Spectrum
then sensitivity analysis must be done by the company. Communication styles also matters a lot
while passing the important information. There are also various tools which are used for the
problems solving in the work place.
