INTRODUCTION
In this extensive competitive business it is the people whose contribution support the
organisation in the achievement of strategical goals hence every organisation require to manage
the people and their efforts in effective direction. Human resource department is a functional unit
in the company which manage the people performance in goal achievement direction.
Nevertheless, HRM is the process and activity scope for the management of employer and
employee performance. Hence, HRM is people pinpointed practices this is because a good HRM
practices delivers profit and productivity while managing the employee and employer benefits in
goal achievement direction. Tesco is a largest retail multinational company in the UK which has
now partnered with the Drone Delivery Group which is dedicated to address the traditional issues
and bring the efficiency which has arises because of the current recession and changes in the
business environment as due to current pandemic outbreak (Yu and Takahashi, 2021). Therefore
when implanting a change Tesco need to manage and control there large size human resources
which is also crucial them to implant the UK drone delivery plan. Therefore, following
assignment used to highlight the purpose and function of HRM practices in order to bring
efficiency in the implantation of the change by keeping the disciple system in the organisation.
Also the following report the various necessary factors in respect to the human resource in
contrast to employee relation practices which are essential for Tesco success in UK drone
Delivery.

Every business to get success in achievement of the goals are using the every aspect and
human resource management practices is one of them.it has found that HRM is conscious of the
people in a business. People are working in Tesco and HRM is a functional unit which is liable
for managing and developing organisational employee (Yu and Takahashi, 2021). Therefore it is
the HRM practices which help Tesco for assuring that right people are placed in the right time
and they should be given right performance review and to build right compensation system and
motivate the employees to build employee relation.
Purpose of HRM

One of the crucial functional aim of HRM is to management the workforce of the concern
business for achieving the strategically business goals. Moreover, HR specialist in the company
are responsible recruiting and selecting the candidate to meet the future demand of the candidate.
Therefore, following are the fundamental purposed of HRM in an organisation are as-
Recruit and select the employer and employees for Tesco
Hiring the right candidate for the right position in Tesco
Handle the payroll, employee relation & benefits and motivation process.
Follow all the employment legislation regulation and guidelines to mitigate any legal
suits.
Function of HRM
HRM functional unit in line with Tesco business strategy and employer objective that is
drone delivery in the UK. This change implementation is directly or somehow indirectly linked
with the HRM function s as the organisation success is priory depends the contribution of the
workforce. Various HRM function are as follows- Recruiting and Selecting- One of the primary function of the HRM is to ensure that the
organisation has the adequate number of employees and to fill up the future demand of
the workforce by a way of recruitment and selecting the right candidate for the right job
position in Tesco for the UK drone Delivery project. So, HR manager and hiring manager
select the personnel which are fit with the change implementation needed workforce. So
here, the HR specialist undertake some function like advertisement of job, screening of
the resumes or candidate, source candidate and taking interview for the selection purpose. Orientation- Since the project is new in the company therefore there is need to provide a
detailed orientation for the new and promoted & transferred employee. This is very
crucial phase for the employee in order to get idea what exactly the roles and task
responsibility will be.
Training and development- Training and development is being consider to be as the long
term HRM function this is because employees and the new hiring require to train for the
exploring their hidden talent and to improves their performance to enhance their
capability and output (Iskandar and Indrayanto, 2021). Moreover, it has urged that train
workforce is consider to be as the valuable asset or wealth for the company.
