Hospitality is a broad category of the fields which provides the various services that
mainly includes hotels, motels, resorts, restaurants, theme parks, and much more. Hospitality
industry is main goal is to provide the enjoyable experience to all the customers and the guest.
Whether it comes from eating, relaxing in the luxurious spa or getting a good rest away from
home, helps in making sure that each guest must be taken care. The cottage in the wood is the

This report will give the detail about the different types of business within the hospitality
industry and discussing the variety of products and services being offered, also examining the

where the guest can live and stay. It is very important for any tourist who travel from one
destination to another. Accommodation are mainly provided into service where the overnight

services and non service accommodation are those where tourist cater for themselves. Mainly the
camping, cottages made of the entirely recyclable wood, wit the rooms attached with the baths

Food and beverages services are being offered by the hotel which provide the restaurants

as the financial department will provide the finance for running the hotel, for marketing..
Marketing requires the finance for promoting the hotels online and offline.

4. Discussing the direct and indirect impact of the hospitality industry on UK and US economy
Tourism has direct and indirect impact on the economies, based o the structured culture, sector it
mostly impacts the economy of various countries. Direct impact of the hospitality industry
generates the positive impact on the UK and US economy.
Employment generation : The tourism and the hospitality sectors provides and generates
the employment through number of avenues. It includes the hotel staff, tour operators, cooks.
The travel and tourism sector is a leading creator of the employment throughout the world. In
UK employment is 8.3% of the total employments contributing towards 663,000 of jobs since
1998. But the US economy was affected by covid and results in the loss of jobs, with an average
of 534$ million in the earnings over 12000 jobs every day.
Impacts in the Supply of the goods and services the hospitality and the tourism activities
supply the goods and services to the various hospitality businesses also the UK and US economy
is impacted by the retailers in the tourist destinations in selling their products directly to the
consumers. Also the hospitality enterprises contribute to the national income which has the
directly impacted the economy of the UK and us as these enterprises contribute in the national
income through the taxes, a generates revenues for the national or the local governments.
The hospitality industry also impacts the investment in the infrastructure which further
impact the economy as expanding of the hospitality industries the requirement of the
infrastructure increases which uses the investments in the infrastructure either through the private
and the public sector which affects the economy as a whole (Akron and et.al., 2020) With the
investments it has sustained the 43000 jobs across construction, furniture manufacturing and
equipment. There are indirect impact also for the hospitality industry is it induced on the total
economic contribution to the GDP in the hospitality industry. Which contribution 1.5 million in
the UK and in US this sector contributed to 10.4% to the global GDP.
5. Analysing the global growth, franchising, licensing development has contributed to the
economic growth in the hospitality industry
The global growth and the franchising is contributing in the hospitality industry as
through franchising the hotel industry gets independent hotels which benefits the marketing
power of the great brands or the companies. It benefits the hotel industry with the franchising
provide the access to an established brand, marketing and loyalty programmes, information
sharing, and the support systems. Also, the wide reservations systems aimed at supporting the

development of the franchise business. Franchise outputs are increasing up to 5.8%. Further
more this helps in creating the job, and payment of the taxes which results in developing the
economy as a whole. The various licensing and registration processes being required by the
hospitality industry mainly the police licences for hotel, health and trade licence, business
registration, fire safety permit, Bar licence, food licence. By adopting thee license the businesses
will be safe by the inspections and the enforcement of the law of all the concerns. Which further
results in the development in the economy as a whole.
6. Investigating the range of the different operational role in the cottage in the wood
There are various roles in the operational department in the cottage in the wood are:
food production department is also known as the kitchen sector. This operational department is
responsible fir the actual preparation of the food item. The cook, kitchen porter, and kitchen
manager are the main important roles in this unit. This operational department in the cottage

maintenance operational department the role of the individual in the cottage in the wood t

Housekeeping manager major role is to organise, plan and develop the overall operations

to manage operations like cleaning room, maintain furnishing, hospitality and overall day to day
