INTRODUCTION
Operation management is the administration of business activities and practices which
are organised by the management of the company for the completion of the project. It can be a
process of administration of the business activities to generate the highest level of efficiency
which is possible within the company. It is obsessed with transferring materials and labour into
products and services as effectively to reduce the profitability of the company (Beresford and
Pettit, 2019). The procedure of operation management consists the planning, organising and
supervising activities and devise required improvements to gain and earn high level profit
margins. Operation management is also known as production management which is an action
and activity of administrating the manufacturing activities, resources and other things which are
affiliated with the production. The processes of operation management is used by the
administrators of different organisation for the effective running of the firms. The main purpose
of operation management is to make control on the several business components and actions or
accomplish the set business objectives in a structured manner in context of accomplishing the
success of the company. In the management of the organisations operation, the managers of the
company should also consider different principles of operation management like reality,
organisation, fundamentals, accountability, variance, causality, managed passion, humility,
success, changes etc. so that with the help of them, the firm can managed its business and
production of the goods and services. This essay is based on St Mery's Hospital which is offering
its services to both children and adults. This healthcare organisation was founded in 1845 in
Paddington, London. The respective firm want to few improvement in some specific areas like
effectiveness, responsiveness, safety and others. To devise development in them, the firm can
use different techniques and tool of quality development like TQM, Just-In-Time and Layout etc.
MAIN BODY
In operation management, the administration of the companies also manage their supply
chain so that they can administrate the flow of goods and services which are manufactured and
produced by the company. In this process they also consists all the activities that are perform to
convert raw materials into finished goods. It considers the active streamlining of a business's
supply side actions to increase target audiences value and gain competitive edge for the market.
This process indicates an effort by suppliers to improve and apply supply chain that are as
