Introduction
In every individual life, it is essential to focus on achieving of goals as well as
objectives. Every person need motivation so that it is easy to accomplish success as
well as growth. In this changing period of time, this has become crucial to have a
focus on different factors so that it is easy to motivate person (Akter, 2017). It is
critically important to be motivated as it encourages employees at workplace to get
the work done in effective manner. This report aims at importance of motivation in
individual life. The importance of motivation is critical to be known as it helps in
development of career growth and also assist in accessing to success.
What does Motivation Mean?
Motivation is to defined as process or driving factors that encourages for
actions or willingness and goals. Motivation play crucial role in development of
individual objective as well as future goals that are needed to be achieved. Each and
every person is affected by different motivation factors which are required to be
considered appropriately. Without being motivated it is not easy for individual to
achieve their goals as well as objectives within time period (Antony, 2017). Basically
there are various types of motivation which are explained below-
Extrinsic Motivation
Extrinsic motivation refers to type of motivation which is triggered by external
factors. This type of motivation are not reliable for long term value. There are several
extrinsic motivation such as salary, bonuses, promotion etc. Main benefit of this
motivation is that it leads to increase in productivity and also extrinsic can be both
tangible as well as intangible (Arce, 2017).
Intrinsic motivation
This is a kind of motivation that is regulated by internal factors and have a
long term impact on individual. There are various types of intrinsic motivation like
curiosity, challenge, recognition etc. Such kind of factors are important as they assist
subordinate to work in better way and achieve positive results. These are mostly
used at workplaces in order to get the work done prior to deadline.

Employees are the crucial asset of a firm who are responsible for generating
