Strength and weaknesses of the various recruitment approaches and benefitsit has on the employer firm or employee is analysed. The impact of HRM on profit andproductivity is identified with the details related to decision making and key elements oflegislation is used. Besides this, work related operations are analysed. LO1P1 Function and purpose of human resource management The effective management of the employees aids company to gain the business throughcompetitive advantage, a strategic approach is used called as the human resource management.HR works for both the company and the employee's management department. HRM involves indeveloping and administering the different programmes to increase the effectiveness andefficiency of the employees. It is one of the big 4 technology company that is Amazon, apple andFacebook. The corporate mission is to make universally accessible the information of the allworld around on a single click. To maximize effectiveness in online search the proprietaryalgorithms are developed. Advisory function11Planning recruitment process-- One of the main function that Google LLC HRdepartment does is planning to achieve the organisational goal. The purpose of planningis to determine the type and number of employee needed to achieve determined goal. TheHR will also help the management to collect, analyse and identify the needs of theorganisation. Selecting the prospective candidate for the achievement of the objective ofthe Google LLC.11Organising through job analysis and design- To achieve the common goal of the GoogleLLC, the role of the HR is to allocate the task to each and every member according totheir skills and activities. Giving the details about the job including the skills,qualification required, duties and responsibilities to the employees is done by the HRmanager. 11Directing through training and development-- the role of the HR department is to activateeach employee at their different levels and maximize their contribution in theorganisation goal. Training and development program are held by the Google LLC so thatemployee of the company can acquire the new skill and knowledge of technology. Newskill makes them more responsible for new responsibilities (Raineri, 2017.)).11Controlling through advising the top management and departmental heads- After all thefunctions are completed in the Google LLC then the HR will look after the quick checkwhether the organisation goal have been achieved or not. The HR will advise the topmanagement to evaluate the personnel programs and procedure. They will also advisemaking healthy relationship with their employees. The HR will also see to the employeewelfare activities. Department heads will be advised as look after the job design andspecific skill required for candidate in their department.11Motivation- for the satisfaction of their needs the employees work in the organisation andthey don't contribute in the organisation goals in the organisation. So the HR of GoogleLLC will motivate the employee with the help of various departmental managers. Theydesign the monetary and non-monetary incentive plans to motivate the employee.The organisation will follow the hard and soft HRM approaches which will help in properplanning of the HR related operations which are carried and followed by the organisation. 2
