INTRODUCTION
Equality is a practice which assures equal rights and opportunities to all the individuals
within entity workplace. While in terms with diversity, this concepts facilitate organisation to
hire employees from different backgrounds. Implementation of equality and diversity enhances
motivation of employees that automatically maximises company stability and profitability in
market (Pramanik, Mondal and Haldar, 2020). Present report has been conducted on, Hilton
hotel (Park Lane London Branch ), company offers wide range of services and facilities to
consumers while operating their business operations in hospitality sector.
In this report involves formative discussions upon research aim, objectives, project
management plan, and literature review. Along with this, report include data qualitative and
quantitative data collection evaluation along with questionnaire. Lastly, reflection in addition
with recommendation is being covered in preset report.
Background of the organisation
Hilton Hotel is conducting its business operations as a leading hotel and provide wide range of
products, services and facilities to customers. This organisation is performing its business
operations as a leading organisation thus, it is essential for company to provide equal treatment
to all employees. It has been evaluated that being a large scale organisation hotel faces
difficulties to provide equal treatment to employees. Therefore, proper implication and
management of equality and diversity practices becomes essential and vital for this organisation

in order to maintain equality and diversity within its operations in order to have positive
relationship with employees.

Rationale for selection of topic
The selection of current research topic is rational and significant as it is associated with
key issues faced in a corporate governance which become vital and important for all organisation
to keep a check and control on mismanagement. Further, current research work is vital to have
better understanding about the concept of corporate governance that is vital and essentially
needed by a firm to meet legal as well as ethical consideration while conducting its business
operations. Apart from this, current research project is also important and vital to meet the

academic purpose and educational background of the investigator along with leading improved
skills and competencies.
Literature Review
Literature review is defined as all-inclusive summary of research topic in which articles,
books, surveys, scholarly articles and other essential relevant sources are being included through
which authority and authenticity of research can be effectively ensured. With the help of proper
research review effective description, evaluation and summary of research can be done. In
addition to this, it has been evaluated that by conducting research review, researcher can
effectively provide foundation of respective research topic through which it can further be
prevented from duplication (Gozali and et. al., 2020). Mentioned below research review has
been conducted through which systemic evaluation or analysis of research questions is being
done:
Various forms of discrimination present in the workplace of company
According to the view point of Hamada, 2020, a workplace is defined as a location in
which individuals of different skills, talent, knowledge and other characteristics perform their
roles and responsibilities to fulfil organisational objectives and aims. It has been evaluated that it
is essential for an organisation to make sure that there is no discrimination prevails in their
workplace structure as it can badly affect their long term sustainability and brand visibility.
However, according to the perception of Kumuthavalli, 2020, there various types of
discrimination can be founded in workplace. In this some of the certain factors on which workers
get discriminated in related to age, disability, race, national origin, pregnancy, religious,
gender/sex, sexual orientation, equal pay discrimination and more (WHAT ARE DIFFERENT
FORMS OF DISCRIMINATION?. 2018).
In addition to this, it has been evaluated that workplace discrimination can be direct,
indirect or both. In term with direct discrimination which is also known as disparate
discrimination mainly takes place when any individual treats or encourages other person to treat
someone badly because of their protected class (Gurca, Markovic and Koporcic, 2020). Further it
has been analysed that this form of discrimination mainly undertakes place due to stereotypes
that has been made about qualities and abilities of those individuals who are in protected classes.
While on the other hand, if it is talked about indirect discrimination it occurs when a condition or

policy is being duly get imposed which is having disadvantage, side effects upon protected group
(Baron, 2020). Thus, according to the above analysis it has been evaluated that there are number
of elements and ways upon which employees or workers within an organisational workplace
structure discriminated (Heath, 2020). All these discriminated measures are having significant
tendency to affect morality and job satisfaction of employees in number of ways.
Need and importance of managing equality and diversity
According to the view point of Podgorodnichenko, 2020, equality is defined as a practice
in which entity or management ensures that each and every are being provided with equal
opportunities and get treated on equal manner. While on the other hand, diversity is termed as a
measure in which an organisation embraces and promote differences among individuals in an
effective manner while offering a positive workplace environment to individual. It has been
evaluated that it is essential for an entity to manage equality and diversity as with this they can
add new skills to team, promote innovation, improve brand reputation, attract more talented
individual and many other more benefits (Butler, Vijayasarathy and Roberts, 2020). Further it
has been determined that, embracing equality and diversity is also important for organisations as
it will aid them in creating more positive workplace environment in which individuals creatively
perform their roles and responsibilities that automatically increases entity sustainability (What

having a workplace structure in which every individual get treat in an equal manner without get
discriminated on any basis it significantly increase motivation and loyalty of employees towards
entity. It will further allow company to retain skilled, experienced and talented employees for

Along with this as per the view point of Harry, 2020, by promoting diversity within
workplace structure organisation can effectively enhance productivity of employees in a creative
manner through which entity can assure more competitive advancements in respective industry.
As diversity is a essential aspect that allows entity to bring talent, knowledge, skill, ideas and
expertise of different individuals from diversified locations. This will aid entity to increase
creativeness within workplace. In addition to this, it has been determined that practising equality
and diversity is also playing most important role for an entity as with the help of this practice
company can maximise overall performance of their employees (Pichler, 2020). Thus, according
