To analyze the impact of EU Migrants perspective on team working in the context
of UK Fast Casual Restaurant Sector- A study on Pret A Manger
Background
In the competitive era, business unit develops several strategies in order to get
desired level of outcome or success. For attaining competitive position firm places
emphasis on building teams and introduce reward systems to encourage employees
etc. Talent management is all about organized, strategic process of getting the right
talent onboard and assist them to grow as per their own abilities by considering the
organizational needs in mind. Also, it is the process through which company is able
to meet the set target by focusing upon team work because it helps to derive the best
outcome and ensure business is able to meet its objectives. Similarly, working in a
team assist business to meet the defined aim in a specific tenure. The present study
will focus upon the importance of team working within a hospitality by considering
the key aspects of talent management so that effectual results might have drawn.
Through research, it has identified that number of EU migrants increasing within
UK continuously. That is why, there is a need to manage the teams in which
different individual from different culture will perform their work with an aim to
meet the set objectives of a business. The present study also shed a light upon EU
Migrant's view's on team working. For that, the chosen business is Pret A Manger,
an international sandwich franchise chain in UK, which deals in hospitality industry.
The report will outline perspectives of EU Migrants pertaining to team working in
fast food restaurant sector.
Rationale:
The main reason for doing the research is to examine how EU Migrant's perspective
influence the team working within UK Fast Casual Restaurant Sector by considering
the talent management. Further, this in turn considered as a research issue because
most of the migrants prefer to work individually. Thus, it is turn as an issue because
views of EU migrants affect the performance of team as well a company's
profitability adversely (Kukartsev and et.al., 2020). However, talent management of
the company wants to retain their employee by using effective strategies in which
working in team is common that helps to meet the set objectives of entities. That is

why, by using thematic data analysis test technique, research could shed a light on
the level to which EU migrant's view's affect team working.
Another rationale for choosing this study is scholar have their personal interest to
research on this particular topic, so that it assists to enhance their knowledge
pertaining to selected aim. Or else, University assigned topic and that is why,
researcher has to conduct study by using relevant resources.
Initial review of the literature
Omotunde and Alegbeleye (2021) emphasized that talent management is somehow
different from HR process but performed work similar to Human resource of the
company in which they motivate, retain employees. The main aim of the talent
management is to improve the business performance by indulging different practices
that makes an employee more productive towards their work. Çetin and Erbay
(2021) shared their views and stated that talent management also work to keep their
existing employees at higher position within organizations that assist to prevent
from high employee turnover. Thus, to improve the working performance,
companies prefer to work in a team which in turn helps to improve the overall
working performance and retain the key talent as well. So, it can be stated that with
the help of talent management strategies company may maximize the values of
employees by supporting effectual approaches.
According to Allan (2019) team work is collaborative effort of a group that helps to
attain the common goal in order to complete the task. In today's working
environment, every business prefers to work in a team because it helps to promote
an atmosphere that foster loyalty and engagement. Through team-working
individuals possess diverse talents, enhance communication skills etc. There are
many models and theories related to team-working. Ingvaldsen, Benders and Procter
(2020) described theory of Tuckman's stage of team development in their study
about how team can be developed through five stages such that forming, storming,
norming, performing and adjourning. This theory mainly focused upon the way
through which a team tackles a task from initial formation of team till completion.
In the opinion of Guttenberg (2020) through Belbin team role theory stated that
there are nine roles which need to be occupied in a team. Thus, it assists to
understand own role within a particular team and also helps to identify own
weaknesses and strength.
Bang and Midelfart (2021) emphasized that majority of the EU migrants migrated to
the country for work related reasons but due to having low level of education they
