What is talent management?
According to Painter‐Morland and et. al.,(2019), talent management is a continuous process that
retaining, managing and motivating employees for longer period of time. It is a strategic process
which helps in selecting and hiring the right candidate according to requirements of the business.

business organisation can enhance skills and capabilities of employees. It will simultaneously
enhance overall productivity and profitability of business at great extent. In addition to this, for
conducting appropriate talent management a company management need to adopt an effective
strategies or plans so that they conduct work properly. Along with this, talent management also
have huge impact on the role of human resource because through talent management they able to
conduct work properly as employees feel motivated as well as encouraged.
What are the impact of talent management on the role of human resource in an organization?
As per the article given byBibi(2019), the talent management activities have positive impact on
the role of human resources as through effective talent management employees feel motivated
and encourage. By this human resource can develop effective plans for adopting new strategies
as well as innovation as employees conduct work in proper manner for attaining desire goal.
Along with this effective talent management also decrease the work load of human resource as
when employees feel motivated then they perform in best manner which leads to attainment of
desire goal and objectives successfully. In addition to this proper talent management enhance
employees as well as manager engagement which help company human resource to develop and
maintain effective working environment at workplace. This show that talent management have
positive as well as effective impact on the performance or role of human resource of a company.
According to the Pandita and Ray (2018), employee engagement is one of the main role of HR
and also having the positive impact of talent management exercise. Different practices of talent
management like training and development and performance appraisal not only help in
improvement of an employee skill and personality but also assist in improving their engagement
within organisational activities. Exercise of training and development help employees to learn
new skills and use same in performance of functions more effectively. This motivates them to
work hard along with higher level of engagement for an organisation so they able to ascertain
overall organisational objectives along with own professional goals. This clears out the activities
of talent management like training and development has direct relation with exercise of
improving employee engagement within an organisation.

As per the view point of Narayanan(2016), employee retention is the important role of HR and
no organisation will able to gain success without fulfilment of this task. This is so because
employees are those asset of an organisation that never be imitated by any other competitive
organisation. It is also cleared by author that exercises of talent management has huge
contribution in fulfilment of this role i.e. employee retention. For example, practice like training
and development and higher responsibilities not only help in improving personality of an
employee but creates their trust towards management they cautious about their overall
professional growth. This motivates them stick within an organisation for longer period of time
and work hard towards the accomplishment of overall organisational objectives. This clears that
exercise of talent management like higher responsibilities has direct association with the
fulfilment of HR role about longer retention of employees within an organisation.
What are the different strategies of talent management adopted by human resource of a com-
pany?
As per the perspective of Al-Hussaini, S.H. and et. al., (2019), talent management strategy is an
action plan that aim to optimize performance of employees. There are various forms of talent
management strategies such as succession planning, workforce planning, career-path planning
and more through which business organisation can maximise employee’s performance or
accomplishing different HR functions. Exercise of workforce planning includes the activities
related to training, performance appraisal and delegation of responsibilities for the purpose of
brining effective level of peace and satisfaction at workplace among employees. All these
activities not only work towards bringing consistency in working but simultaneously aid in
development of skills and knowledge among employees. For ex., exercise of performance
appraisal helps in identification of skill gap along with ascertainment of measure or technique
that might help in improvement of same. So, the end result of this will be ascertained by the
employees as improved level of personality and productivity that turns them from ordinary
worker to skilled or extraordinary who can perform in diverse situations.
