INTRODUCTION
Organisational behaviour is the comprehensive study of behavioural patterns of
individuals as well as teams within the confines of a corporation. The interface between
individuals, groups and management forms the core of development of an effective as well as
positive corporate culture. The present project is conducted to gain comprehensibility of team
dynamics as well as organisational behaviour within Queen’s Hospital. This is a renowned
hospital which is run by Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. It is
situated in Romford Town Centre, London. A major incident has taken place nearby the
respective hospital which has caused a rush of patients within the hospital in last some time.
Looking upon the huge extent of flow of patients within the medical centre, the management is
intending to develop a trauma team that will effectively attend to the people affected by the
incident and admitted to the hospital.
The project consists of an overview of teamwork in relation to organisational success.
Further, it includes team development and group theories along with the differences underlying
between effective and ineffective team. Further, the impact of team dynamics over performance
is given. In addition to this, it covers organisational philosophies as well as concepts.
Teamwork referring to success of company
Teamwork can be referred to as the process of clubbing of individuals within the confines
of a company to attain a uniform objective. Coordination as well as cooperation, together act as
the key for teamwork to place as per organisational requirements. Teamwork takes place when
individuals belonging to different national as well as cultural backgrounds forget their
differences and work together for the accomplishment of a particular task. Cohesion is witnessed
to be a core element in relation to team and the employees pertaining to an enterprise together
work as one common unit. The employees learn from each other every single day and enhance
their productivity with passing team in order to give priority to team goal over individual goals.
When staff members work together for attaining an objective, it become easier to be achieved
within due course of time. Thus, it can be said that teamwork holds immense significance in the
success of an organisation.
