INTRODUCTION
Staff motivation plays an important role for organisation irrespective of its scope and size.
Motivated staff can perform their roles and responsibilities in better ways through which
organisation can fulfil its objective and can assure higher competitiveness (Zdonek, Hysa and
Zdonek, 2021). Staff motivation allow employees to enhance organisational profitability and
productivity in respective industrial sector. In this it is essential for company to undertake use of
different type of staff motivation scheme in order to motivate employees on continuous basis.
Present report is conducted on ASDA which is operating its business services Undertale
industrial sector and offer a wide range of products and services around the world. Staff
motivation play essential role for company through which they can retain employees for longer
time period Present report include discussion up on the aim to determine the impact of staff
motivation scheme to retain employees at workplace. For this appropriate research
methodologies have been selected and literature review is being conducted. Report also includes
data analysis and certain recommended practices.

1.1 Research Aim and Rationale
The aim of this research is “To determine the impact of ASDA staff motivation schemes
to retain employees at workplace.” A study on ASDA.
Rationale
The selection of the current research topic based on impact of staff motivation schemes to
retain employees at workplace is rational and vital, as it has been identified that in current
business environment organisational success is directly and indirectly depend upon employee’s
motivation. Selection of present topic is significant from the point of a company. It effectively
facilitates better form of information about the concept of staff motivation scheme which is
essential to enhance employee’s motivation level through which company can retain them for
longer period of time. In addition to the selection of project topic is essential in the viewpoint of

research, as it meet education and academic purpose in addition with ensuring improvement in
interpersonal competencies.

behaviour. In this on the certain factors of individuals are motivated in order to fulfil their desire
and wants. Staff motivation plays important role within organisation through which company can
effectively maintain level of energy, creativity and commitment of employees in their roles and
responsibilities. Employee motivation is playing major role in every industrial sector through
which company can assure more employee engagement which further lead towards higher
productivity. Staff motivation benefits an organisation in terms of various manners such as
higher productivity level, lower level of absenteeism, lower level of staff turnover, strong
recruitment and positive reputation of company and more. There are some certain then effects of
staff motivation in terms of organisation:

It is one of the most important benefits of staff motivation within an organisational. As if
employees are motivated in an organisational workplace structure than they are capable to handle
uncertainty in a better manner. Motivation allows staff members to be more engaged and self-
