Research methodology is defined as process that is used by investigators while
conducting any research. These are helpful in defining what is the proper plan of executing all
activities and tasks of research. This include rules and regulations followed while implementing
research. The research methodology of this research is described below -
Type of investigation:- There are two types of investigation that are followed by
investigator while attaining aim of the research ā qualitative and quantitative method. In the
qualitative investigation, the main focus is on obtaining data by selecting open ended questions.
This type of research is designed effectively for revealing the perception and behaviour of target
audience (Esposito, 2016). This type of research is mainly used when there is need of more
descriptive and communicative analysis. On the other hand, quantitative method is one in which
information analysis of data is done using numerical values. The type of research method used in
the present research is qualitative.
Research approach: Basically, there are two types of research approaches and these are
used in conducting various researches like deductive or inductive. It is essential to have good
and effective approach for attaining research aim and objective in less time. The research
approach is a procedure which includes various steps like data collection, analysis and
interpretation.
Research philosophy- This consists of beliefs, value and ethics adopted while conducting
research. There are basically two types of research philosophies like positivism and
interpretivisim. In present research, the philosophy used is interpretivisim.
Research strategy- While doing this research, questionnaire is used for collecting data
and there are lot of questions included which are related to issues of Sheraton Hotel.
Data collection- This includes different ways by which data can be collected for making
interpretations of research. Use of questionnaire is made to collect data from primary sources
while secondary data is collected from online publications, articles and journals (Prada-Ramallal,
Takkouche and Figueiras, 2017). In present research, the method used is questionnaire as well
as secondary data like articles, online reviews, websites, etc.

P6 Reflection
I am very thankful that I got an opportunity in order to conduct an investigation on the
topic of talent management as it is one of the most significant and my favourite concept when I
was in my college. With the help of doing this research, my understanding about the topic has
been increased and my research skills goo better at the end of this investigation. This will assist
me in near future by giving me various growth opportunities. Apart from improving my
knowledge on the topic of talent management, it has also been determined by me that there are
different types of tools which is used by investigator so that they can conclude the research in an
effective manner. In the present research, I have adopted both primary as well as secondary
method for collecting data wherein, questionnaire is developed in primary and in case of
secondary method, literature review is used by me. Some of the issues which is faced by me
while doing this investigation is that there are not sufficient funds, resources as well as time
which affect the overall outcome in a negative manner.
P7 Alternative research methodologies
In the present report, for gathering information and data, questionnaire is being used by
the researcher as the time period given for completing the whole research is limited. But if there
is same research conducted by me in near future, I will choose interview method so that required
outcome will be attained within given time frame. Along with this, another main reason behind
choosing interview method is that researcher will be able to get chance of having face to face
communication with the participants so that best and most suitable results will be obtained within
given period of time duration (Benitez-Amado and et. al., 2015).
CONCLUSION
With the aid of above analysis, it has been identified that talent management define as
one of the most effective practices with the help of which employees of the company can easily
adopt the changing environment and stay competitive at the marketplace. By doing an
investigation, it can clearly be identified that with the aid of effective practices of talent
management, managers and leaders face various issues at workplace which decreases the overall
performance of the staff members. Apart from challenges, there are some benefits gain by
management team of an organisation with the help of which they can retain their staff members
