INTRODUCTION
The home based child carer business provides home based care services for children in
which caregiver to children by home like environment. In this assignment, there are some skills
and behaviours are required to manage a childcare setting (Stitou, Bourgeault and Kohen, 2018).
In addition to this, the self-assessment along with steps of planning of childcare business is also
covered in this. The requirements of register of home child fare plan are also covered in this.

1) Identify skills, attributes and behaviours required to lead and manage a home based childcare
setting
There are some skills and behaviors are required to manage and lead a home based
childcare setting. The caregivers must have these skills with in their behavior. This includes good
communication skills, affectionate about children, patience, calm temperament, have a sense of
humor, flexible approach and optimistic behavior. The caregivers need to apply these skills with
in their role so they can manage home based childcare properly. The implementation of these
skills can impact on both children and adults in settling initially. Afterwards a good practice by
child care involves in keeping children safe in their own place. This is also help child care from
which they can manage stressful situation properly.

managing setting
There are some roles and responsibility of child care which help them in managing and
leading the setting. The child care workers need to monitor children activity so that they can
ensure about their safety (Flanagan, 2019). They also need to supervise children so that they can
perform well. This also involves keeping and maintaining good hygiene for children so that it
does not affect any type of disease. They also need to develop proteins and schedules so that they
can also progress physical activity play and rest for children. It is the responsibility of child care
is to maintain records of the progress of child so that taken for the make and develop other
