EXECUTIVE SUMMARYTraining and development plays most important role in the modern era within theworkplace as it allows staff members to carry out all the operations of business in proper manner.Further, it supports to focus on the major areas where employees are not performing better. Thepresent investigation possesses the aim that is to evaluate the impact of training and developmenton the employees’ performance: in context of Hilton hotel. Descriptive research design has beenused and the research is of qualitative nature. Further, sample size of 20 employees has beenundertaken and data has been analyzed through qualitative tools where different themes havebeen formed. From the entire research, it can be concluded that training and development has animportant part of the organization. It is an educational process which involves the sharpening ofskills, concepts, changing of attitude of the staff. With the help of different training anddevelopment methods such as on the job, off the job etc, company has delivered the right trainingto the staff. 2

Investment in training and development programs has started to increase in companies sothat staff members can easily satisfy requirement of the target market in best possible manner.Absence of effective program has adverse impact on the overall performance of company anddue to this reason concept of training and development is getting popular. Background of the studyThe role of training and development of personnel is suitable practice that acts as an aidfor the executive in increasing the knowledge of the employees to a significant level. There isimmense requirement for training and development as it facilitates in increasing their jobperformance in relation with the job.
