2. IBM Blue mix
To change the smartphone as a sensor and to be considered as an actuator, the IBM
Watson Bluemix is utilized, where it need the support of IBM Blue mix, which will be studied as
follows. The IoT (Internet of Things) devices such as home heating, sports wearables, TV’s,
mobile phones, Air conditioners and so on, are present in supply chain, manufacturing
equipment, in-vehicle components, and are used to make industrial settings. It is possible to
develop a basic IoT solution with the help of Watson IoT Platform, where the smartphone are
transformed as sensor (to read and send data) and an actuator (to read and act on data) (Breeding,
2012).
The following figures show the development steps undertaken for the IoT application’s
architecture.

on a dashboard of horizontal IBM Waston IOT platform. The initial process is to create an IBM
Nodered system, which sends email alert. Nodered system must be identified and line and chart
IBM NODERED system should be visualized. The shock detection must be analyzed to send the
email alerts. On IBM bluemix application of Waston IOT platform, IBM Cloudant database must
be created on a Nodered system flow, for displaying the horizontal position orientations. It is
also required to create a dashboard to be displayed on a smartphone shock excessive, including
IOT application of over time chart/ and line analysis. Further, shock detection will be discussed
and an event of stock excessive overtime line will be analyzed.
4. Deployment and configuration of Smart Applications
4.1 Smart Application on NODERED Systems
In the provided IoT solution, the main IoT application in the IBM Cloud is a backend
application. The incoming payload message must be interpreted which comprises of sensor data
for the backend application. Follow the below steps to create the application:
First, we need to search the internet of things platform starter on search bar which is illustrated as
below.
