management of individuals within organization. There are different approaches used in the field
of human resources. In the present report, training and development approach has been
considered significantly. There are a lot of secondary and primary sources are used for collecting
information. It is analyzed that training & development has become a crucial part of HR
practices of each and every company. There is requirement to adopt efficient training approaches
as per requirement of employees and also need to analyze the outcomes on regular basis

INTRODUCTION
Human resource management is related to managing employees within company in an
efficient manner for attaining predefined objectives within stipulated period of time. The present
report is based on training & development practice which is a crucial area of human resources
(Mackelprang and Salsgiver, 2016). In this, TESCO is taken into consideration that is a well
known company of retail sector. It deals in groceries and general items across the globe. The
present report included three major secondary sources along with complete research process
comprising different stages of research. In addition to this, primary approaches of research with
advantages & disadvantages have also been included in the following report. Lastly, findings of
study along with necessary recommendations for making further improvement have also
discussed in the present report.

It is analyzed that human resource management is a wide area under which a lot of
activities are included such as recruitment, selection, training & development, performance
management, motivation and more. For the purpose of present report training & development
approach of HR has been selected. Training refers to provide appropriate learning to individuals
in order to enhance their overall efficiency & productivity (Armstrong and Taylor, 2020). In
present time, training is really important for organizations so that employees can work by
coordinating with new approaches & techniques at work place. For this purpose, companies
often arrange training & development programs with an aim to increase in overall knowledge of
employees so that they can perform assigned task in an efficient manner.
Justification
In present business world, training & development activity has become highly popular
due to increasing use of technology. In addition, it also helps to enhance overall efficiency of
employees so they can perform assigned job roles in best possible way. With training, staff
members are able to give significant contribution in success & growth of company. Further, it
