INTRODUCTION Ethics is the study of moral principles which involves defending, systematizing, and recommending concepts of wrong and right behaviour. Ethics are the code of conduct that need to be apply in the organisation so that they can take decision from the choice of right and wrong (Van Riper and et. al., 2020). It is very important for an organisation because in every time they have to choose from options, at that time they need to concentrate on their ethics so that they can choose right.Values are same important as ethics in the organisation as it increase the value of their name and goodwill. An organisation can achieve their goals and objectives with the help of collaboratively working because it gives many benefits that are covered in the report. MAIN BODY TASK 1 Newspaper Article A)Explainwhatismeantbytheterm ‘ethics’. Ethics defined in diverse ways Ethics is the branch of philosophy that practised by a group and an individual person. Ethics are the code of conduct and it applies at all stages in the individual as well as corporate life.It is very important for an individual and organisation that they should takearightstepinordertobecomea successfulpersonandorganisation.It depends on their ethics as it assists in taking a corrective action or measure. It is the set of principles in which they guide organisation indecisionmakingprocess,policiesand programs.Anethicalbehaviourof employees and leaders in organisation gives manybenefitssuchastheygethigher productivity and efficiency. They also assist employeestoworkwithintegrityand honesty(Garcia-Martin and et. al., 2017). Ethical behaviour leads to meet the aim of organisationwiththehelpofadhering policies and rules. It is identified that there are many cases that build in organisation whichcreateethicalissues.Itcanbe understandingwiththehelpofGoogle scandal in which they violate labour laws (Google violated US labor laws, 2020). 2 employees are fired because they are related to the protests of employees but this is not anethicalact.Sothat'swhyitisvery necessaryforanorganisationthatthey shouldimprovetheirethicalstandards. Therearemanyfactorswhichinfluence ethics in the organisation. Cultural issues in directly impact on businessethicsbecauseemployeeswork
from different culture.They have different valuesand behaviour. It can be creating issuesandeffectonbusinessethics.On otherhand,environmentissuesare increasing day by day such as emission of carbongases,plasticusage,etc.Now companiessetthattheyhavetoattain sustainability in the organisation. It is very obvious that business perform activities that directly impact on other species on earth suchasanimals.Butitisthedutyor organisation that they should practices in order to reduce environmental issues. Legislation is one of the factor that effect ethics of organisation because it is identified that government intervenes in the businessbecausetheyanalysethat organisations become very unethical.This behaviour cannot tolerate by government so that's why they have no options to prohibit this type of behaviour(Régis and et. al., 2017). Social pressure is another code of conduct because companies provide not so much good quality of products and that's whyitinfluencesethics.Companiesuse societies' natural resources and that's why they have to return back in the form of quality products but it is found that they are lacking in this activity. H&M use organic material to produce their goods and services. Otherfactorsaregovernmentrulesand regulations, personal code of ethics, etc. It is very importantfor organisationthatthey should take care of their activities. In simple words, they have to perform their activities which are come in their ethical behaviour. B)Discusswhyworkplaceethicsare important in an organisation. Workplace ethics Workplace ethics enhance integrity between employees and build trust so that theycanachievetheirtargets.Itis identifyinginthemodernworldthat workplace ethics are very important as it assist in reduce scandals that nowadays large organisation are facing.The existenceof scandals comes in the unethical behaviour of organisation which may affect productivity andefficiencyofemployees.IfH&M follows ethics then they did not face any scandals. It can be better understand with the helpofexampleofH&M.H&Mfaced allegations of unequal behaviour with their employees as they were not provided fair wages to the employees(Clerico and et. al., 2019). They are failing to fulfil their pledge in which they take an oath of living wage.It is very necessary for an organisation that they should perform all their activities in an ethical manner so that they can face any allegations.But it is found in H&M that they were not giving equal or fair wages to their

It is analysed that there are number of rules and regulations that they need to be follow if organisation want to become a successful business(Singer, 2021). The important laws are employment law, health and safety, etc. it is very necessary for and organisation that they should follow these rules if they want to get success and growth. To follow rules and regulations are also a part of ethical behaviourandpractice.Itassistsin achievement of goals and objectives. HSBCisthemultinational investment bank in London, UK that always make sure about all rules and regulation in order to reducing ethical and legal issues. It plays a crucial role in the market. It is very importantforanorganisationthatthey should know and apply employment laws becausetheyhavemanyemployeesthat work for organisation(Terrasse, Gorin and Sisti, 2019). They also have to follow health and safety act i.e. made by HACCP in 2006. It ensures the safety and health of employees in the organisation. In addition to this, they also need to follow Equality Act, 2010 in which all activities are mentioned related to the organisation which promotes equality in the organisation. For the purpose of ethical practice in organisation two important laws of UK that should be apply by HSBC are Equality Act, 2010 and Health and safety act. TwoimportantlawsareEquality Act, 2010 and Health and Safety at Work Act, 1974. Equality Act promotes equality in theorganisation(LocherandBolander,
2019). Health and safety ensures employees'health in the organisation.
TASK 2 Cause and Effect Essay A) Discuss the concept initiative. According to the given scenario, it is identified that now organisations focuses on fulfilling corporate social responsibility. As per the give scenario which is about Starbucks and TOMS UK set their goals in respect of fulfilling social responsibility. They perform activities in order to welfare of societies(Connor, Copland and Owen, 2018). TOMS UK donate pair of shows and Starbucks tries to recruit 25000 veterans so that they can increase diversity and equality in workplace. It is very necessary for an organisation that they should do something for the welfare of society. It is identified that many companies take an initiative in order to get sustainable growth. It is analysed that H&M perform various actions related to CSR activities because they think that this is the duty of organisation. Society gives natural resources so that organisation can do business with their resources. So that's why it is the duty of organisation that they should perform an activity in order to return back. It can be done with providing quality products to the customers, do not harm anyone and environment, etc. It is very important for an organisation that they should take an initiative such as H&M did. H&M is one of the organisations that comes under most environmentally responsible playersinthebusinessenvironment(Gallego‐Alvarez,Rodríguez‐DomínguezandMartín Vallejo,2020).Theyalwaysfocusingonreducingthenegativeimpactofindustrieson environment. Their aim is sustainability in the organisation and that's why they increased scrutiny. They take an initiative in which they set their aims in which they encourage customers that they have to recycle old or unwanted garments. For that purpose, the also focuses on using use of organics fibres and trying to reduce hazardous chemicals. They also focusing on increasing protection towards worker's right. Water is very important element for environment and that's why H&M give their full efforts to improve water conservation. B) Explain the issues of new employees that are faced and mention 5 rules. Recruitment and selection is the important function of organisation as it assists in appointing best candidates. With the help of recruiting of new talented employees, organisation can achieve their goals and objectives(Dove and et. al., 2017). But it is analysed that new employees face many issues in the organisation as they have no knowledge about business practices. It is analysed that every organisation has different values and ethics which creates issues for new employees. It can arise due to different nature and behaviour of employees.

Sometimes it is identified that staff or personnel attitude cannot be accepted by new employee and that's why they face issues. Issues and problems faced by new employees are working environment, time management, discrimination, communication problems, performance issues, lack of skills and knowledge. C) Describe the legal rights people have in relation to GDPR. Day to day increase in technology also increase threats of forgery of data in organisation. It is very important for an organisation that they should take an initiative so that they can reduce the risk of security breach. It is analysed that security breach becomes a very important issues in nowadays(Colon, 2020). Data privacy is very important in nowadays because everything is now based on technology and there are many people who can breach laws such as hackers. They can use their data for their personal purpose. It became very important for an individual that their data should be protected in the company. For the purpose of data privacy, GDPR replaced Data Protection Act, 1998. It is very important for an organisation that they should follow the guidelines of GDPR. GDPR gives many rights to individual that they can take in the organisation
when they need. All rights of individual play a crucial role in the organisation. GDPR gives many rights that are right to access, right to be informed, right to object, right to restrict data processing, right to erasure, and right to rectify. These rights are very necessary for an individual as it assist in protection of data. In organisation staff should be known about rights of individual as they deal in daily practice. These all rights make their employees happy as they feel that their information is protected in the organisation. An individual can access data when they need and no other have a right to access their data without permission. GDPR is important in organisation as it assist employees that their data privacy cannot breach by any other person. A person can rectify their data if they feel anything is missing or incomplete. If they feel that they are not required that data, then they have an option of erase them. They also restrict any other person to misuse their data. All these rights are beneficial for an individual.

Collaborative working Competition is rising day by day as every company is now focusing on their products and strategy. H&M is the second largest global clothing retailer still they have a threat of competition They have many competitors such as ZARA, Forever 21, etc. It is very necessary for an organisation that they should accept competition but it is also very crucial that they have to find out best strategies in order to deal with competition. It can be deal with the help of efficient human resource who work together in the organisation. Their working decides the success and growth of organisation in the marketplace(McAuliffe and et. al., 2017). It is analysed that organisation can achieve their goals and objectives with the help of collaborative working. Their working conditions decide employees' efficiency and productivity. Collaborative working refers to the environment in which every person supports to other one so that they can achieve their goals and objectives. It is identified that it forms informal meetings in which they share their issues and problems that can be solve with collaborative working. Benefits of collaborative working There are many benefits of collaborative working which are mentioned below: It assists in making an effective team which has common goals that can be easily achieve. It is very crucial for an organisation that they make a teamwork in which every person has a common goal. In organisation it is very necessary for them that their employees understand their goals and objectives(Selinske and et. al., 2019). Collaborative working helps people that they can understand organisation goals. It effectively integrates the individual goals with organisation goals. It improves efficiency of an individual and enhanced their performance. With the use of collaborative working an organisation can achieve their goals and objectives very well and get a success in marketplace. Apart from above benefits, it is very necessary for an organisation that they should use strategies in order to encouraging collaborative working.

British Values In UK like the company of H&M, it is identified that companies should have to follow British values in their organisation as they are very important. It is very crucial for an organisation that they should focus on mainly four important values that are democracy, respect & tolerance, rule of law and individual liberty. These all are need to be present in the
organisation. Democracy give freedom to employees that they can share their point of view. Respect & tolerance gives every person right that they need respect in the organisation. Rule of law concerned with all necessary important laws that should be follow by employees or members of organisation. Individual liberty is related to the rights in the organisation that should be understand by company. Consequences of poor collaborative working It is identifying that if H&M has not effective collaborative working they face many bad consequences such as: Companies faces many issues such as they have not found creativity and innovation in the organisation. It reduces learning opportunities of employees in organisation which increases their efficiency. It effects on employees' morale and for that reason they are unable to perform in confidence. Poor collaborative working makes a negative environment in H&M that reduces work culture. From the above discussion it is very important for an organisation that they should improve their strategies so that they can improve their collaboration working. If they get successful in improvement of collaboration, then they can achieve their objectives. CONCLUSION It is concluded from the above discussion that ethics, values and collaboration working is very important in the organisation. With the help of ethics, values and collaborative working they can achieve their objectives with sustainability. It is recommended to the organisation that they should focus on developing strategies.
