This research aims to identify the role of virtual learning in continuing education and development of students during global pandemic COVID-19 within the education industry of UK. The project rationale is justified by the severe social and economic impacts of COVID-19 on young people and the education industry. The research objectives include understanding the concept of COVID-19 and virtual learning, determining the challenges faced by students in the UK, and analyzing the importance of virtual learning in continuing education and development of students. The literature review discusses the impact of COVID-19 on students and the importance of virtual learning.
