The children will realize the importance of the lesson by
telling them how it is important to know letters we have

children on books works and how people read books
(Han, & Neuharth-Pritchett, 2015).
Instructional Sequence- Also include written directions for your ‘transitions’
to be used in appropriate sequence. (7 points)
Behavioral expectations
The children will be sitting on the floor each with a construction paper and
glue. They are supposed to be 1 meter apart to ensure I can pass freely to
check how they have joined some letters. There is no movement but they can
converse freely if they wish to do so.
The aim of the lesson plan is to prepare the children how to read and write.
This will be done by following the key skills needed in emergent literacy
such as use of vocabularies, use of narrative skills, the use of phonological
awareness and print motivation (Sinaga, 2019).
REQUIRED Categories for POINTS:
Explain
I will start by greeting the children. I will then ask whether they have every
learned how to pronounce letters and spell some words. Throughout the
lesson I will be asking on how they have been giving stories back at home.
Through this process I will have to draw final thoughts on whether their
parents have been giving them some exercise such as reading of charts and
storytelling activities.
Model
After preparing everything I will have to post the charts and other symbols in

front of the children. I will now call upon every child to look forward and
then I start by pronouncing some of the letters by holding the exact symbols
on my left-hand side.
After completing the use of symbols to represent alphabetical letters I will
now use the books I assigned to the children at the beginning of the lesson. I
will show the children how to open the books and then tell them how to spell
some words outlined in the books.
Guided Practice
The children will have to read after me some of the words contained in the
books provided. I will be reading loudly and this will make them master all
these words in their memories with much easy. After everything I will
request them to read on their own to determine how they can memorize what
they have learned. Besides, after words I will introduce the letters. Now, I
will use symbols on my left-hand side and then n my right I will be pointing
the exact letter in the blackboard. The idea is to ensure the children have a
clue of what is important when it comes to emergent literacy.
After going through all the alphabetical letters, I will give them a break for
15 minutes. After, the break I will then introduce procedures on how design
the letters using cards and glue. I will direct them how to use cards and glue
them to make same alphabetical letters and word.
