INTRODUCTION
English is one of the academic language which is effectively used authorities regarding
providence of rules and regulations. This language is also used by many leaders to share their
views with public. This report cover “ I have a dream which is a public speech that delivered by
Martin Luther King Junior in August 28th, 1963. In this the main dream of Martin is to delivering
freedom and equality from a land of slavery and hatred (Hyland and Paltridge, 2011). Along with
this, equality and Diversity policy of the British Library is also mentioned in this report. As
promotion of equality, diversity and culture help in bringing valuable impact upon society and
also enhance the working of organisation.

 British library is promoting the equality and diversity within the business organization. In
this the main aim of this is to recruit and retain diverse employees in the organization.
 The library also provides emphasis on compliance with the equality legislation, code of
practices and guidance as well. It help in builds the statutory position to promote equality.
 Along with this, British library is also promote opportunities of equality to staff in order
to develop their potential at workplace (Flowerdew, 2014).
 Equality and diversity policy is also devolve by the British Library to provide clear
framework for implementation of the equality.

Martin Luther king Junior gave speech named as, I have a dream in which he focus on
motivating Americans and also tries to stop inequality within the nation. I have a dream is all
about end of racism which turns as defining moment of the American civil rights movement and
also delivered the motivation to people who treat being unfair. Martin also describing his dream
to provide freedom to all the American people by establishing equality from a land of slavery
and hatred. Along with the king speech is larger influenced the people towards the race in Britain
(Ngai and et. al., 2011).
Another part is based on equality and diversity policy which is provide by the British
Library with the purpose of promoting equality and diversity. In addition of this, the main
purpose of this is to pro-actively tackle discrimination and also ensure that nobody is
discriminated on the basis of any predetermined criterion's . For this British library also provides
better provisions and recommendations in discrimination law.
c) Evidence of Bias
I have a dream is a famous public speech which is given by the Martin Luther King
Junior. The basic evidence behind the presence of discrimination and inequality is proved from
the presence of 250000 civil rights supporter. Along with this, In 20th century it is comes under
the new list of the best 100 political speeches. The main aim of this speech is to provide quality
to all the people. This speech is also influenced and impacted the American public. Number of
people are running for getting freedom and equal rights but they don't have leader to influence
them at national level (Lan and et. al., 2011). In this Martin knew that how to motivate and
provide rights. All over speech is focus in the racial equality.
In addition of this, Laws are the main evidence of the British Library as it promote the
equality and diversity among people in organization. As the main focus of this is to protect
workers rights at workplace. This type of policy is relate with employees of the British Library
as it also measure performance and behaviour of the workers in order to enhance their

The language used in I have a dream is English. This speech is given by the Martin
Luther to motivate the people and also tries to provide equal rights to all the people live in
nation. The English used in speech is simple which help to connect with local people easily..

In past decades, there were many spokesperson who have given their views over racism and
slavery which was faced by Black Americans. But from all of them, Martin Luther King Jr.'s
speech “I have a dream” carried the content which attracted and motivated people in bringing

equality and reduction of discrimination that was faced by Negroes. This revolutionary speech
which was given by Martin Luther King Jr. influenced public to remove discrimination and
bring equality among black and white Americans.

Article “I have a dream” has kept its focus over motivational and highly influencing
speech that was given by Martin Luther King Jr. a spoke person and an activist. Speech was
heard by 2,50,000 audience including a number of nations like United Kingdom, Africa, etc.
which changed the whole scenario and thinking of people related to black skinned people. On the
other hand, St. Paul's Cathedral London was the place where Sir Martin went in order to
encourage both black and white skinned people where they can focus over number of issues.
Reduction of discrimination and bringing in equality among both black and white people was
kept as the major aim of this speech. This was done at the time, when government did not took
any actions over number of cases that was registered in many federal departments. But, this
speech which was given by Martin Luther King Jr. forced government to formulate legal laws
against all the issues like racism and slavery which was faced by black people so that to bring
equality among white and Negroes (Hu and Cao, 2011).
