INTRODUCTIONCommunication is a very important process that helps two or more individuals to transferand share useful information. The communication skills are the abilities to determine personalityand behaviour of others; it also helps to handle critical situations at workplace or personal livesof individuals. The present report is in context to communication at workplace . It will determine variouscommunication theories or models along with a presentation on oral communication.Furthermore, the report will also include various tools that can be used for communication at aworkplace. TASK 1 – THEORIES OF COMMUNICATIONCovered in PPTTASK 2 – ORAL COMMUNICATION Communication helps in dealing with many critical situations that arise amongindividuals. In the scenario given, a customer is frustrated due to delayed delivery of a product.The conservation with customer is illustrated below - Me – Good Morning Sir Customer – HelloMe – I apologize for the late delivery of your product. Customer – Are you serious??? I took a leave from my work to collect the product and it was awaste. Me – I am really Sorry Sir, actually the product you ordered went out of stock and our teamsearched for your product by contacting our merchandisers but the product was not available. Customer – I can understand this but at least you should have informed me earlier. Why didn'tyou call me or sent a mail regarding this? Me – Sir, I tried to call you many times but your phone was out of coverage and the supportsystem of our company is under maintenance and that's the reason we failed to contact you. Customer – Might be possible my phone is out of coverage as our office is far from the city,well please make sure you don't repeat it next time. 1
