Task 1:a)In the hotel industry, different kind of range or grading system is highly significantfor the customers as well as hoteliers. It is evident that visitors never have the same kind ofrequirement and budget. Some visitors may require luxurious hotels; some visitors may notafford the luxurious budget (Lockyer, 2013). Thus, by keeping this in consideration differentgrading system help in providing accommodation with all segments of customers. One more significance is from the viewpoint of hotel owners. The fundamental ofbudget and financial aspects applies to them also. Not everyone can afford to start a luxuriousproperty or any resort due to financial constraints. However, different ranges and theiracceptance allow them to invest in industry. The major importance includes maintaining thequality of services in the industry. By providing grades to the hotel, the quality parameterscan be set, and hotels need to provide such services to the customers. For instance, the servicequality of five-star and two-star hotels will be completely different. Therefore, in order todefine the quality of services grading system is important.Another aspect is that by providing grades to the hotels, the visitors can easily sort outtheir preferences and can take their staying decisions. With the help of grading, theaccommodation seekers can definitely get an idea about the quality of services in any hoteland can choose as per their budget (Lockyer, 2013). Hence, it can be said that grading systemin the hotel industry is a tool to inform visitors and a guidebook to determine the level ofservices in different range’s hotels. Different grading standards for hotelsThe grading system like Michelin, Automobile Association, La Liste and Gault Milauis provided to the restaurants, and it determines the quality of services in the hotels. Likewise,In Michelin, the professional inspectors inspected the environment of hotel and restaurants ondifferent parameters and provided the ratings accordingly. The restaurants with high ratingcan be considered as a top class. Michelin rating is applied worldwide, and AutomobileAssociation is applied only in the UK, and Gault Millau is applied in Europe. In some of thegrading system techniques, the reviews are provided by the customers, and it determines therating of hotels. Three different stars
