Background
The background of the block chain technology to ensure security and privacy to the
IoT enabled devices is the main focus of this unit of the paper. The concept of block
technology is an important security aspect of the IoT based devices. The use of this
technology on those devices are known from various reliable sources as stated by the authors
(Christidis, & Devetsikiotis, 2016). The information related to the integration of the
technology in those devices can be also obtained from the primary sources and the technical
experts. Experts stated about the effectiveness of the technology for the IoT based systems in
terms of the increased speed of the devices and the security of the digital assists of the
business organization. After the introduction of the technology in 2008 the public
transactions are handled in a more effective way. Based on the various types of researches it
was found that the block chain technology is a very useful technology in the IoT enabled
devices as it is a decentralized and distributed process. The background knowledge about the
block chain technology helps in the prevention of the alteration of the data. The various
scholarly articles help in the standing the specification of the block chain technology in IoT
enabled devices. The transactions of the nodes can be managed well in the IoT enabled
devices (Kshetri, 2017). The IoT based systems are most of the times connected to an active
internet connection so that the block chain technology helps in protection the information
which are transported from one entity of the organization to another. The IoT enabled
technologies such as the wireless sensors have lots of complication in its structure which are
the main reason behind the use of the block chain technology as it would help in providing
greater transparency to the system.
