Ensure a Safe Workplace BSBWHS501 Assessment 1- WorkbookQUESTIONS AND ANSWERS (5 MARKS EACH)1.Explain each of the five (5) steps in the diagram of the risk management processStep 1: Establishment of context: this method deals with the facts in case of occurrence of incidents within the workplace.Step 2: Identification of Risks- This method includes identification of all the hazards that are inherentto the job activities carried out by the organisation. The workplace safety supervisor should walk around the workplace to identify what may cause harm to the workers such as the machineries, equipments, wires, etc. The supervisors should discuss with the employees if they have noticed anything that may cause harm.Step 3: Analyse the risks: the risks identified in the workplace must be subject to evaluation to determine the probability of the risks to cause injury to the workers. Risk assessment is based on the two factors: the impact of the injuries resulting from the hazard identified and the likelihood that the injury will occur.Step 4: Treat the risk : After the risk is assessed, the immediate actions should be adopted in order toavert such risks from causing harm to the workers.
