INTRODUCTIONBusiness management is an activity of group of employees. It is the most important partof management studies. Business management is full of management skills and knowledgewhich helps organisation to accomplish the overall target. It also helps to earn maximum profitfor the organisation. Business face many challenges during day to day activities in businesscorporation. It requires many new skills and talented employees to have the business expansion.Present report is based on business environment. It will explain about the employee engagementtheories. It uses in the performance management. On the other side, it also covers the importanceof employee engagement in the company. Overall, this essay covers all essential elementsregarding employee performance at individual or group level. Essay: Employee engagement Employee engagement is the most important factor in HR department. Employeeengagement is the level of commitments and involvements towards the organisation goals(Ebert,et.al, 2014). Employees are the key factors in the organisation which maintain the environmentof the company for example: Marks and Spencer (M and S), it is the leading retail store inBritain which gives quality of product and services to the customers. Employees are the factorswhich helps by giving their dedication level towards the growth of the company. Employeesengagement is the process in which individual or group of employees helps each other to solvethe issues in the company. Further, it supports to improve the job performance within theorganisation. This increases the positive environment in the business which gives more effectiveoutput to the company growth. The term employee engagement is interpreted differently inmanagement literature(Hatten, 2015). Employees engagement also helps in describing jobinvolvement. This aids in hiring more talented and skill-full employees in the organisation. Forexample, Mark and Spencer recruit employees on the basis of his or her skills, knowledge andqualification background. This process of recruitment benefits in making talented staff whichgives more quality of services to the clients. On the other side, if company doesn't have properteam members they cannot survive for the long time. Every organisation needs adopting fairpractises and compensation to enhance the confidence level of employees. This increases theemployee engagement(Schaper, et.al, 2014). It contains two types of commitments: first isrational and second one is emotional. Emotional commitment is more important in determiningthe performance level of the employees.
