INTRODUCTION
Human resource management is an approach to employment management which leads to
achieve competing benefits through the strategic process of a skilled and capable workforce by
considering structural, abilities and interpersonal skills. It includes various practices like
recruitment, administration, selection etc. it is an important function in the business operations
as it hire a workforce and create a healthy environment within the workplace. These bodies are
structure which connects the managers and employees each other (Rao, 2017). The following
report is based on Mark and Spencer it is UK based company founded in 1894 in UK London.
It deals in retail stores provide clothing, food brand and home based product. The essay will
cover the topic the explanation of employee engagement and the importance of workers
engagement further it will include the brief of considered company and how employee
engagement strategy is successful for the company.
MAIN BODY
Human resource practice involve the strategic operations of HR. Their roles and duties are to
form the structure and guidance for operating company workers and should organise with the
executive business plan. Some examples of HR practices include planning, organizing and
managing the HR department (Sihag, 2021).
Why employee engagement is important in workplace.
It is a human resource concept that elaborate the level of spirit and commitment of a worker
feels towards their work. These types of workers care about their work and about the
performance of the company, and feel motivated by putting efforts in the organizational
operations. It plays a crucial part in company success by giving the job satisfaction and
improved performance. It is more likely to be impressive and productive towards the companies
objectives (Spencer and Skalaban, 2018). The seniors can encourage their employees in various
ways including communication, offering rewards, continuous feedbacks etc. engaged workers
employees feels that their working should be appreciated by the employers in order to feel them
motivated and have a success in the operations. It often develop an emotional connection to
their work and organisation and will be focused on working towards their organization goals.
While companies may explain the engagement of employees as per their requirements. It is
important for organisation to encourage the employees and make them feel motivated, it also
