providing an instant analysis and calculate the composition of the soil. The device is used for
obtaining useful data about the transforming unusable, useless soil into luscious, nutrient rich

the farmers in improving the productivity. The most important components of the company
are carbon casting and stainless steel probe. The components are obtained from the Canada
and Spain respectively and the supplier in Spain is the only one in that area.
The business of the organization has been growing with a great extent, however at the
end of the year 2017 the sales of the company went down this affected the profit margin of
the company to a great extent as well. The decline of the company has not yet been resolved
and the CEO of the company needs a solution to this problem.
Capabilities Gap
The main business transaction and the sales process of the company were generally
dependent on the word of mouth and there was no development in the field of marketing
strategies for the organization. The main criteria of the inventor have been looking for the
development of the business with the improvements in the innovation of the technology that
is being used by the organization currently. It has been thought of that innovation within the
organization would provide them with a competitive advantage over the others. However, the
current processes in the organization does not support the innovation and some business
process management would be helpful for the organizations. The current procedures in the
organization are mainly done manually and hence, there is a huge disadvantage of the
organization that they have to face in the record keeping area of their business. In addition to
this, the manual process also involves a number of employees being pre occupied for a single
process or event in the business process of the organization and hence this affects the
productivity and the time consumption of the organization.

website that order of the customer is written up as a sales order and the order is then sent to
production. After the order is placed around three days taken to check if the product for the
customer is available or not. In case the product requested by the customer is available the
production team then send it over to the shipping team and a duplicate copy is then sent to the
accounts department. In addition to this, a triplicate is kept in the production department

The sales order is then forwarded to the accounting department along with the shipping note
attached to it. A photocopy of the details is maintained and stored in the warehouse in ring
binder. However, there are situations when the photocopier is broken and the details might be
neglected by the departments. In addition to this, the Shipping department also records all the
details of the orders received after it is forwarded from the production departments, and all
the orders are checked again. After checking the order thoroughly, the invoices are decided
upon. When a matching sales and shipping order is found the customer details are fetched
from the order lists and the invoice is delivered to the customers. The payment is done by the
customers in 14 days’ time and it has been seen that majority of the customers make the
payment and very rarely does an order goes into bad debt.
In case there is no stock for the ordered product, then a purchase request is organized
and sent. In addition to this, when the purchase request is received the request is tendered to
the date in which the order is received. After the order is tendered priority scheduling for the
requests are done and the request are processed according to priorities set for by the
department. During processing a request, the supplier is contacted and a mail is sent. Around
four and a half weeks’ time is taken for the confirmation of the product. After confirmation
from the suppliers the invoice is received from the end of the suppliers and immediately after
receiving the order and the invoice the payment is done by the organization.

Identifying and understanding the procedures to be automated: It is very important that the
CEO herself understands the automation process and is fully accustomed with the procedures
that are taking place currently within the organization. Hence, it is important that she
identifies the process correctly and the procedures which does not require any automation. In
various cases the automated process does not benefit the organization, instead it reduces the
efficiency of the organization on the whole. Hence, the identification of the processes which
needs automation are to be done very cautiously.
Making the staffs accustomed to the automated solution: It is often the case where the
company develops the automated solution, but the staffs and in-house employees of the
organization being not accustomed to any automated system might be facing a lot of
problems. Hence, it is recommended that the CEO organizes some training facility for their
in-house staff on any new software that is to be used in the organization.
Planning the automation: It is recommended that the automation procedure which is to be
dev eloped is a well-planned one. All the process which needs automation should be
identified and discussed up on well in advance. In addition to this, the automation schedule
and budget should also be well planned so that there are no problems faced by the
