INTRODUCTION Career is process of strategies that an individuals undertake to held job, designation and task during lifetime. Curriculum vitae (CV) is written document which contains personal details, education, experience when a person is applying for job profile. Career Action Plan is document that brings out learning for career development(Akkermans and et. al., 2015). Job position identified in this project is in retail industry and of Human Resource Manager which will have major roles and responsibilities. The designation will require skills to recruit, train, manage and control employees so that talent management is effective in organisation. MAIN BODY Personal Analysis HR manager role in retail industry demands certain skills, knowledge and education so that personnel on this job position is effective. There are certain skills that I will need so that there is positive impact on organisation's performance. Inter-personal Skills:These are those skills which helps individuals to interact and work with others in working environment. This includes Self-Confidence, Relationship Management, Work Ethics, Body Language, Listening, Positive Attitude, etc. This is one of my strength and will help me to be effective in managing employees and implementing policies. In retail industry alltheseskillsarerequiredsothatemployeeshaveappropriateworkethicsandbuild relationships with customers. Management Skills:This is basic skills that is required by any manager in organisation so that planning, organising and controlling is effectively carried out. HR Manager is required to supervise, manage and control various activities in business so that there is less wastage of resources(Reddan,2015). This is one of my strength which will help me to plan tasks effectively and contribute in firm's productivity. Empathetic skills:HR Manager deals with employees on daily basis and listen to their needs, complaints and conflict at workplace. I am empathetic towards individuals which helps me to understand and make judgement accordingly so that there is no dissatisfaction. In retail industry it is important to listen, manage and control personnel so that there is less employee turnover. 1
Training and Development Skills:The another and one of important function of HR Manager is to train and develop required skills in staff. This ensures that performance and productivity can be enhanced so that organisational objectives can be attained(Carnevale, Garcia and Gulish, 2017). I need to have knowledge about current situations so that training sessions can be arranged and effective development comes up as result. Analytical Skills:This states research related skills which helps manager to analyse and interpret business environment and identify opportunities. This also helps HR Manager to recruit and retain talented employees in organisation according to future need of business. I am good in research related tools and interpretation of results to find out useful information to assist in planning. Current Skills and Knowledge:There are some skills and knowledge that are my strength and weaknesses which will assist in completing roles and responsibilities as HR Manager in retail industry(Stead and Davis, 2015). Here is the list which shows my present strengths and weaknesses: StrengthsWeaknesses I am good in interpersonal skills which is one of my biggest strength. I have gained experience of management skills during graduation which helps me to plan and execute activities effectively. I am good in empathy which makes me feels their issues or problems and provide help. I can look after or identify need and problems people are facing in working and processes. I am good in primary and secondary research and familiar with statistical tools. I lack in body language which hinders to mark an impact on other individuals. Although my planing is good enough but I lack in area of execution which makes my planning improper. Thissometimesmakesmeemotionaland people tries to take advantage. I lack in area of finding appropriate solution to fill the gap or resolving issues. The area where I lack is interpretation of data whichmakesmydecisionsmakingpower weak.
