WORKBOOK 2 COMPLETION OPTIONS
Please read the following information regarding completion options for Workbook 2 relating
to the delivery mode you are enrolled in.
SELF-PACEDDELIVERY
Learners undertaking TAE40110 through Self-Paced need to complete Workbook 2 submit it
for assessment and have it assessed as satisfactory by HBA Learning Centres after you
have completed Workbook 1. Workbook 1 must be submitted and assessed as Satisfactory
prior to attempting Workbook 2.
NOTE: Remember you have 24 hour access to our learner forum as well as regular access
to our trainer and assessors via phone or email. If you do require assistance please call

BLENDED DELIVERY
Learners undertaking TAE40110 through a Blended Delivery mode need to complete
Workbook 2 submit it for assessment and have it assessed as satisfactory by HBA Learning
Centres after you have completed Workbook 1. Workbook 1 must be submitted and
assessed as Satisfactory prior to attempting Workbook 2.

PART TIME DELIVERY
Learners undertaking TAE40110 through a Part Time Delivery option are expected to
complete Workbook 1 in their own time prior to attending the face to face component of the
course as well as for homework in between each face to face component of the course.
The face to face component of the course will focus on the delivery and reinforcement of
underpinning knowledge and skills required to complete Workbook 2. Workbook 2 will be
completed during the face to face components of the part time delivery. Homework will be
issued to be completed prior to attending each face to face workshop. Any outstanding
Workbook 2 activities will need to be completed in learners own time for homework or post
course work.
NOTE: As a minimum, learners will be required to complete a 40 minute delivery session
and corresponding activities post the face to face component of the course.
Workbook 3will be completed in the learners own time prior to or post the face to face
component commencement. If learners do not complete Workbook 3 prior to attending the

face to face component of the course they will be required to finish the remaining as post
face to face course work.
INTENSIVE DELIVERY
Learners undertaking TAE40110 through Intensive Delivery are expected to complete
Workbook 1 in their own time prior to attending the face to face component of the course as
well as for homework during the face to face component of the course. Post course work
may be required to complete Workbook 1 depending on learner progress.
The face to face component of the course will focus on the delivery and reinforcement of
underpinning knowledge and skills required to complete Workbook 2. Workbook 2 will in the
main, be completed during the face to face intensive delivery. Any outstanding Workbook 2
activities will need to be completed in learners own time for homework or post course work.
NOTE: As a minimum, learners will be required to complete a 40 minute delivery session
and corresponding activities post the face to face component of the course.
Workbook 3will be completed in the learners own time prior to or post the face to face
component commencement. If learners do not complete Workbook 3 prior to attending the

Workbook 2 and Workbook 3 will be completed during the face to face component of the
Extended Delivery. Homework will be issued during the face to face component of the
course to aid in the completion of Workbook 1 and Workbook 2.
NOTE: Individual learner requirements may vary. Where relevant any outstanding Workbook
2 and Workbook 3 activities will need to be completed in learners own time for homework
and or post course work.

ABOUT THIS WORKBOOK
This workbook focuses on the practical application of the skill and knowledge requirements
for each unit and is designed to reinforce the underpinning knowledge demonstrated in
Workbook 1 through practical application.
The work you complete in this workbook is used as evidence to contribute to your overall
competence in the practical application of the skill and knowledge requirements for this
qualification. There are ten (10) Units of Competency that form a full Certificate IV in Training
and Assessment.
Once you have successfully completed all three (3) workbooks and been assessed as
competent by HBA, you will have achieved your Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
The ten (10) units are:

TAEASS403B Participate in assessment validation
TAEDEL401A Plan, organise and deliver group-based learning
TAEDEL402A Plan, organise and facilitate learning in the workplace

TAEDES402A Use training packages and accredited courses to meet client needs

ELEMENTS OF ASSESSMENT
The elements of each activity in this workbook need to be undertaken, completed, and
returned to HBA electronically for assessment. Any additional answer sheets, information,
or evidence supplied by the learner to support their assessments should be returned with
this workbook.
In undertaking an activity in this workbook you may be asked to:

Conduct research
Complete templates
NOTE:
Some activities may require you to undertake internet or other research. This research
assists in meeting competency and in answering some questions.
CHECKING OFF ASSESSMENT TASKS
As you complete each activity you should check it off against the supplied activity checklist
and attach any additional supplementary evidence required to meet competency. In signing
off on each activity you are declaring that YOU have undertaken the specified task/s. Where
it is verified that a learner fraudulently signed off on an assessment item as being their own
work when it is not, competency will be withheld and the relevant authorities notified.
SUBMITTING ASSESSMENT WORKBOOKS
Only completed assessment activity items with appropriate evidence which is valid under the
Registering Authority guidelines, and the terms of the RTO and its authorised delegates will
be used toward determining competence.
You must submit your assessments in the Workbooks provided in their original format.
Untidy, unclear, or hard to decipher material will be returned to the learner without
assessment being conducted. HBA will not undertake assessment until the evidence
supplied is in a format that meets the professional standard required by those working in
leadership roles in the workplace.
