INTRODUCTIONCommunication is very important part of every company. Without it, business cannotgrow. If a business wants to get the best result or outcome then it should have good interpersonalskills (Reeves and et.al., 2011). This project report is based on Sengupta family in which oneperson has some diseases like diabetes, dementia etc. In dementia, person loses his memory thatmay be for short term or long term. This report will explain about the relevant theories ofcommunication that are used in health and social care, Methods of dealing with inappropriateinterpersonal relation between individuals, strategies that supports users of health and legislationthat affects the conversation process etc.TASK 11.1 Relevant theories of communication in health care organisationThere are various theories that are used in health and social care. These theories are asfollows-Behaviourist theory- It is a process where learning is based on theconcept that allbehaviours will be obtained through conditioning. In this case study, this theory can beapplied due to response they get from the service provider which have negative impact onthem and they felt uncomfortable and unsecure.Operant conditioning theory- This concept is associated with the theory of Skinner. Ithas two aspects - one is positive and second one is negative. In positive aspect, patientfeels pleasant and gets desirable experience and vice versa. In this case study, Senguptafamily feels bad when services are not given according to their expectation. They feelthat there is no appropriate behaviour of care taker, which creates bad impression aboutthe service provider.Social learning theories- It is used at the time of observation of behaviours or skills ofsomeone and that helps in improving relationship between service provider or Senguptafamily. Care taker should have skills that may promote the service of hospital and cancreate the positive image of the nursing home. With this, healthcare assistant shouldobserve other staffs' activity that how they are dealing or taking care of patient who havedementia diseases and how they are giving response to their needs (Betancourt And et.al.,2016).1
