INTRODUCTIONThe conferencing and banqueting industry is one of the most growing and developedsectors of United Kingdom in today’s era. The main motive of this assignment is to know aboutthe various sides that can impact on the banquet and conferencing industry. In the present report,scope and size of conferencing and banqueting sector will be discussed. There are some factorsthat put their effect on the growth and development of this industry. In this report, mentionsabout the operational issues and the key strategic included in the efficient and effectivemanagement of banquet and conferencing industry. To increase the performance level, hotelindustry used review tool and technique. In this report also discuss about the factors that needs tobe consider at the time of organising an off-site banquet and conferencing. 1.1 Scope and size of conference and banqueting industry in the UKThe scope and size of the banquet and conferencing industry is a most necessary elementsto attract customers and also creditors in banquet and conference industry. In United Kingdom,scope and the size of industry related to the banquet and conferencing is depend on the manyimportant factors like style of an ownership related to the banquet and conference industry alongwith the induction and the level of service which is provided by the industry. The industryrelated to banquet gives the good meeting space along with the food related facilities for peoplewho came for attending the seminar. On the other hand, meeting industry gives the seminarfacilities as well as conferencing and meeting facilities.United Kingdom is one of the largest developed country. United Kingdom has biggestconference halls and this country is also an economically strong business organisation. In theUnited Kingdom country, the banqueting and conferencing industry is one of the largest growingindustry (Carson, 2013). The scope of this industry is totally depend on taking a support fromthe another same industry like for an instance bars, pubs, restaurants etc. after conducting theresearch in UK regarding this industry then, there are more than 46000 guest houses and thehotels are situated. Mostly the size of every hotel is large. But basically the size of banquet andconference is large, medium and small. In addition to the United Kingdom, the size of thisindustry is also based on the number of participants . Like in small size conference hall, there canbe around 500 people, around 600-1000 people can attend the banqueting and in the large size3000-4000 people can adjust.
