INTRODUCTIONIn every organisation employees plays an important part in achievement and growth ofcompanies. For achieving success it is also important for manager of company to provide propertraining and knowledge to workers so that they can complete their assigned tasks easily and inallotted time frame. This report is carried out in context of Tesco Plc which is a retailercompany. The company offers groceries and general merchandise to its consumers so as tosatisfy their customers’ needs (West and Lyubovnikova, 2013). Tesco Plc is operated by JackCohen in UK. The manager of company also provide training session to its workers which helpsthem to deal with every situation easily. The importance of individual and organisational trainingis also been discussed in this report. Along with this, contribution of High performance workingin employee engagement and to gain competitive advantage at marketplace is also stated underthis project.TASK 1P1 (A) Employee knowledge, skills and behaviour required by HR professionalsManagers are an important part of business organisation to achieve goals and objectives.It s essential for company to have HR managers with professional knowledge, skills andbehaviour. This will help them to manage all functions and operations of company properly andeffectively. In Tesco Plc, it is also crucial for business enterprise to have manager withprofessional skills and knowledge so that they can deal with problems and resolves issues ofemployees. In this, knowledge, skills and behaviour required by HR professional in Tesco Plcare as follows:KnowledgeKnowledge of rules and policies of company: This is an important factor of knowledge whichis required by HR professional of company (Duffield and Whitty, 2015. ). They should haveproper knowledge of rules and company policies such as, employee benefits, knowledge ofrewards and incentive policies, etc. In Tesco plc, the HR manager of company should haveappropriate knowledge of policies sop that they can provide details and information toemployees.Knowledge of structure: The another factors of knowledge which is required bycompany in manager is that they should have proper knowledge of organisation's3

structure. If they do not have proper knowledge of structure or constitution then it will bedifficult for them to manage working and overall performance of company. In Tesco Plc,it is also important to have knowledgable manager in all respect to achieve goals easily. SkillsEmployee relations: In every organisation, it is important for company to have managerwho maintains relations and coordination with employees. In Tesco Plc, it is essential formanager to maintain relationship with workers so that they can communicate withemployees easily and solve their problems. Communication skills: The another important skill which is required by HR manager ofcompany is communication (Johansson, Miller and Hamrin, 2014). They should have proper andeffective communication skills so that they can provide useful information and details toemployees. In Tecso Plc, appropriate communication skill will help manager to know mindset oftheir employees and workers can also share their issues with them without any hesitation. BehaviourTrustworthy: The behaviour of manager of company should be trustworthy. This helpsthem to know employees attitudes towards organisation and what are their aspectsregarding company. In Tesco Plc, it is also important for HR managers to have trust onworkers which helps them to make relations with them and achieve their goals withefforts. Purpose oriented: To achieve success and growth of company it is important formanager to know the purpose of their business. This will assist them to reach theirdesired ambitions on time.CPDCPD stands for continuous professional development. It is a process in which managersof company provide training to its workers in continuation period. In this, all employees aregiven training equally so that they can deal with every problems easily. This will also enhancetheir future opportunities and productivity. CPD is beneficial for Tesco Plc because it willimprove level of performance of workers and overall operations of company.P2 (B) Personal skill audit for an employee Personal skill audit refers to a tool which helps to measure and record skills an employeeor group on individuals.
