INTRODUCTION
Developing individual’s teams and organisations is important for every organisation to
improve productivity and generate more profit. It helps in analysing employee knowledge, skills
and behaviours which is required by HR professionals (Collins, 2021). It also helps in
determining factors to be considered when implementing and evaluating learning. In this report
professional knowledge, skills and behaviours that are required by HR professional are described
and personal development plan is prepared. Difference between organisational and individual
learning, training and development is discussed. Need for continuous learning and professional
development to drive sustainable business performance, benefits of HPW and its contribution to
employee engagement (Bailey and et.al., 2018) .

Professional knowledge, skills and behaviour required by HR
HR plays an important role in every company as it helps in recruiting and selecting
appropriate candidate for the organisation, provides training to new employees and development
of existing workers who are not performing well. They also manages day to day activities and
decide payroll of every employee working in the company. It is the responsibility of human
resource manager to interact with other departments and ensure that all employees are focusing
on achieving goals and objectives of the company (Bombiak and Marciniuk-Kluska, 2018).
In Amcor plc managers are managing day to day activities of the company and
interacting with other departments for the smooth running of firm. To enhance knowledge of
employees training is provided so that they can work effectively and efficiently. They maintain
employee record, analyse performance of individual worker and according to that they give
incentives and benefits which helps in motivating and boosting morale of employees.
Skills required by HR professional
There are many skills that a HR manager should have are, communication skills,
administrative skills, knowledge of human resource management, proactivity, advising,
coaching, and knowledge of HRIS, recruitment and selection. Managers should behave properly
with all employees and maintain good relation with customers. They also solve problems among
employees, appraise performance of workers to boost their morale. Incentives and bonuses are
decided by HR manager according to the work done by employees (Analoui, 2017).

In Amcor plc HR department is responsible for recruiting and selecting best candidate for
the company and provides training to new employees. All the managers are having skills and
manage all the activities properly.
Skills –
Communication skill- it is one of the most often skilled in HR professionals.
Communication help for human resource manager to establish a good communication or
interaction with staff members. This type of skill plays important role in organisation
which influence staff members to perform suitable tasks in proper manner.
Proactivity- it is also consider as important skill for HR professionals to use their own
ability for handling the complex business performance. This skill is something that needs
to establish a connection between employer and employee. it is helping to resolve any
kind of problem or issues.
Analytical driven and goal oriented- it is one of the most important skills related to data
driven as working and analytics have emerged with rapidly in business growth or
development. Therefore, it push the different staff members in department to make a
better decision.
Behaviour of HR
Human resource manager maintains good relation with customers and employees. They deal
with behaviour of individual and different groups in the organisation. They investigates the
effectiveness of company's performance and make changes to gain competitive advantage. The
main aim of HR manager is to achieve goals and objectives of Amcor plc. They make new
policies and procedures for the benefit of employees and satisfy them.
It is necessary to enhance employee knowledge by giving them training so that they can work
efficiently and this will improve overall productivity of company. In Amcor plc managers are
talking with employees politely, appraise good performances and punishments are given to
employees who are not working properly (Peerzadah, Mufti and Nazir, 2018)
