INTRODUCTIONManager role is crucial to achievement sustainable growth and market share in everykinds of business organisations such as hospitality, travel, tourism, sport etc. they contribute insuccessfully implementation of planning and strategy of company to meet their goals. Thepresent report is based on developing manager where it includes explanation and differencebetween various leadership styles, characteristics of leader and communication process inorganisation. Furthermore a brief discussion about manager own skills and performance analysisby analysing of strength, weakness, opportunity and threat for business manager in selectedcorporation (Van Hoorn, Nourot, Scales and Alward, 2014). The report is content of teammotivation and its role in achievement of goals and objectives of enterprise along with impact onmanager decision making process. Furthermore the analysed appearance of own managerialtogether with personal contribution in career development and review of need of peculiar growthalong with current performance and designed a plan for future development.TASK 1 1.1 Compare different management stylesDeveloping management is kind of process in which the manger can learn how he or shecan enhance their skills to achieve their own goals and objective together with organisationaltargets. It provides various techniques to improve their personal ability such as communication,problem solving and decision-making along with leadership quality to influence thesubordinates.Management style refers as the managing way of manager to achieve business short andlong term goals for sustainable growth. There are various administration approach that describeas per under;Autocratic management style: The concept of autocratic known as the monocraticapproach in which all the decision are made by single person like owner or managing director ofcompany (Turner, 2014). All the power and authorities are restrict to one man. Subordinatesinvolvement in extremely low in making arrangement of business. Autocratic old concept butuseful in sole trader. This managerial styles affect moral of employees because no participationin taking decision for future operation.
Permissive management style: This concept also known as the democratic approach ofadministration. In this staff member put their opinion to develop plan and policy. Workersprovide essential suggestions in decision-making process but ultimate arrangement set by topmanagement. Permissive managing style helps to increase moral of employees. It also help tocreate positive work-culture within organisation.In the present scenario of Hilton hotel which operating in hospitality industry usingautocratic management approach to achieve business goals and objective by providing bettertreatment to stayers and tourists there (Santrock, 2015). Staff members do not participate indecision their role is limited to deliver hospitality services such as the attaining guest, room andcleaning facility, foods and beverages to customers. All the arrangement of hotel taken by topmanagement that affect moral of workers together with employees productivity and efficiency isdecrease which is harmful for hotel cause of low cooperation between higher and loweradministration. On the other hand Cook & Hurst Ltd. is a sport manufacturing company inUnited Kingdom that produce athlete clothes and footwear. Adopted new managing approach init business functions which helps them create positive work-culture within organisation toincrease cooperation and coordination between top and bottom management. Permissive styleshelp to take appropriate suggestion of workers to perform various activities such as production,marketing, sales and distribution. Front-line employees opinion assist to top authority to developsuitable strategies for promotion, customer relation etc. democratic approach aid in sustainablegrowth by capture huge market share through understand customer expectation fromorganisation (Phillips and Pittman, 2014).1.2 Discuss leadership characteristics Leadership roles is crucial to accomplish corporation goals and objective along withsustainable business growth.
