Executive Summary A leader could be accountable for completing the organizational task by their followers. The leadership is described as trait or skills that are practiced for leading a particular group of individual with respect to meet the desired objectives and aim. Leadership is effective for the life notion, hence, I confronted many prospects of leadership. I am a civil engineer and worked nearly 2 years in a Rural Water supply project in Nepal. This reflective presents my characteristics and leadership skills. For enhancing depth knowledge about the skills of leadership, I practiced the feedback method and get the opinion and views of the other people towards leadership skills. It was effective for collecting suitable information for leadership skills. I practiced the feedback method as it facilitates to me in getting depth information about drawbacks leader. It could also be effective in the attainment of the organizational task. Drawbacks of an individual could directly influence the overall outcome of the study. Introduction This report also discusses the weakness as well as strengths of an individual. This report also makes the action plan, which has been practiced for improving the skills of leadership. From the application of leadership skills, I would also be able to evaluate my leadership style and practice it at the working place. My Work Experiences and Leadership Challenges The leadership is the method wherein a leader is would be responsible for a leading group of the attainment of particular aim and objectives. I got certain chances of leadership in my personal life. The skills of leadership supported to reshape my life. The leadership skills could directly be affected by the behaviors of the consumers (Allison, & Goethals, 2014).By implication of the leadership style, I have been honored to conduct suitable behavior to the different culture of
people. As the leader of the team, I analyzed that a leader could be confronted with many problems, which could be related to the attainment of the company’s task. Furthermore, it is evaluated that a leader of the company could play an effective role, which enables to meet the aim and objectives of the research issue. A group leader would be accountable for making trust and got a higher outcome. I appointed in the Rural Water supply project in Nepal. Herein, I lead some members for 2 years, which could be accountable for the attainment of the organizational goal (Drescher, Korsgaard, Welpe, Picot, & Wigand, 2014).From the last 24 months, I lead to the team members for the attainment of the organizational task. It could also directly affect the performance of water supply department. It was very difficult for me effectively direct to the different culture of people in the same direction and increase the probabilities of getting a reliable outcome. I also improved my skills due to obtaining higher competitive advantages (Foti, Hansbrough, Epitropaki, & Coyle, 2017). Leadership Journey and leadership styles I confronted many problems, which could create conflict at the working place and directly influences the overall outcome of the study. Recently, I worked as a close member of the team. For declining this issue, I conducted many meetings and consider views of a member of the team in the process of decision making. The primary purpose of collecting opinion of others, which will facilitate to the employees to be the part of the group. It could also facilitate to enhance skills of leadership. Herein, I was accountable for reflecting the particular aim and objectives of the group. I deeply evaluate leadership styles for effectively implementing suitable leadership in the team and meet the aim. It could also lead to getting a reliable outcome (Kelly, 2014).As a team leader, I was accountable for the overall performance of the firm, hence I managed each activity of the working place. This technique will enable the researcher to meet the aim and objectives of the research matter. As the leader, I practiced the open conversation tool wherein the individual will be accountable in declining the possibilities of eliminating conflict in the firm. From the application of the open conversation, the meeting could facilitate to declining the conflict to improve the productivity of the organization (Lloyd, Clegg, & Crouch, 2015). Importance and Implications of Feedback in my Leadership Journey Gallup’s strength finder Gallup’s strength finder tool is implemented to examine the drawbacks and strengths of mine, which will lead to making a favorable result. The results supported to me to identify the different strengths and weakness of mine. It could facilitate to affect to the overall development plan of the leadership. Moreover, this tool is effective in directly conversing with others. It could be effective in the attainment of the organizational task. Moreover, the primary purpose of Gallup’s test is effective in conversing with other people. From the findings, I also observed that
I was calm in nature that supports to me for making a positive relationship with others. This technique could be imperative for making a decision with respect to the current matter. I was capable to easily talk with others and never easily influenced by any situation that would be imperative in the attainment of organizational goal (Baltaci & Balcı, 2017). Leadership development plan The plan of leadership could be effective in providing an opportunity to determine my abilities, drawbacks, and strengths with respect to leadership skills. It could facilitate to meet the short term and long-term goal. It could be effective in the attainment of an organizational task. It could be effective in declining my weakness and supported to being an effective successful leader. I used Whittman GROW model in the declining weakness of mine and help to get favorable outcome (Cashman, 2017). Goal setting (G): Initially, I determined both short and long-term objectives, which supports to work in one of the direction and meet the team goal. In the upcoming 9 months, our group will be tried to meet a group goal and make a feasible result. I tried to enlarge my team in the upcoming 3 months by increasing the number of individuals in the group. It could be imperative in the attainment of the organizational goal in the specified time and cost. Reality (R): From the evaluation of this factor, it is stated that eight employees or members are worked under on me. I lead them for working on the same goal to meet the aim and objectives of the research matter. I supported to make a favorable decision in the context of the current matter. I observed that Rural Water supply department could support the specific area for getting a favorable outcome. I observed that the water supply department of the firm is new as well as the
responsibilities of each individual are diverse which could create the conflict in the organization that could directly influence the overall result. Therefore, I was responsible for each member of the group could give their best effort in the working place that enhances the probabilities in obtaining a result. It is examined that I decided 24 weeks of the time period for accomplishing the specified goal (Farh & Chen, 2018).I also concentrated on make plan for increasing the capability of the employees. My executive and individual member taught me for behaving well at the working place. I also enhanced my understanding of the skills of leadership, which could lead to getting a reliable outcome in the context of the current matter. Obstacles (O) The main aim of this problem is to examine leadership skills for improving the business condition in the least time and cost. A person who is hired by the firm that could have some skills, therefore, I consistently concentrated on performance in improving the firm productivity. It could also directly impact on the organizational performance. The water supply section could be influenced by the single small mistake of an individual, therefore, I concentrated on each employee to eliminate the misunderstanding problems from the team. I communicated with all group members about its assigned work as well as declined lack of clarity problems from the organization (Gelard, Boroumand, & Mohammadi, 2014). The way forward (W) GROW approach is effective for improving the skills of leadership as it could lead to making a favorable decision. This step could be imperative for resolving problems that are associated with obstacles. It is examined that company might assure that group that has requisite of assuring the best tools. I feel responsible for the group performance and I would try to be an effective performer of the firm. I practiced certain sources such as offline and online sources in improving my own skills. It is examined that I would be part of many workshops related to the leadership for attracting a large number of consumers to meet aim and objectives of the firm without any conflict (Khan, & Adnan, 2014).It is evaluated that different aspects of employees could direct to me in enhancing my capabilities and skills. It is examined that competition level could influence the overall outcome. It could be effective in overcoming the firm obstacles. For enhancing team performance, I enhanced my abilities to reach a favorable conclusion. I got feedback from colleagues and mentor in improving my weakness that could be possible by gathering the senior’s feedback. It would support me for improving competitiveness to get a reliable outcome. It is evaluated that the responsibility of the water supply section is kept by me as it supports to sustain the business (Farh & Chen, 2018). I decided 1 year of the time period to decline drawbacks of an individual and supports to make a favorable decision. Conclusion As per the above discussion, it can be concluded that leadership is imperative in accomplishing goal and aim in a systemic way. Leadership is an ability to inspire, direct, and manage the activity of a team to accomplish the firm goal. It can also be summarized that leadership skills can be identified as the personality and followers of the individual. It can be concluded that effective leader could be responsible for team growth. It can also be summarized that this course was imperative for improving my drawbacks, which leads to sustain the position of the firm in the marketplace. This report also supports to critically examine the abilities of the leader about the accomplishment of the organizational goal. It is also founded that the team leader could also
responsible in many accountabilities, which could be quite complicated for the implication of new tool that could facilitate to get favourable reactions.
