The below executed report will be analyzing DeMontfort University and execution of SWOT analysis is required to be done as the businessorganization is expecting to develop diversification in services. Part 1Current services The primary products and the services are the UG and PG level courses and the programswhich are offered by the De Montfort University. Education cannot be considered as a product; itis a kind of service which is offered by the University to the students (Dmu 2017). Moreover, theinstitution also offers a varied range of online programs and courses to the students all over theglobe. Current Resources The resources are considered as one of the significant components in the development andgrowth of the business entity (Schaper, 2016). De Montfort University also has number ofsegments of resources which are aiding the institution in number of aspects. The belowmentioned are the main categories under which the resources of the university have beensegmented:Tangible resources:The tangible assets have been categorized in the following segments such as the infrastructurewhich involves the university buildings, office premises of the university, the furniture, theequipment’s and the machineries used in the laboratories and auditoriums etc. These areconsidered as very much significant assets for the business corporation as they are being utilizedfor generating revenue. Intangible resources:The intangible assets for the business corporation is the workforce .i.e. the faculties and the otherstaff, the students are also considered as one of the significant component under the intangibleassets (Laudon and Traver, 2013). Moreover, the financial resources such as the grants and thedonations from the financial institutions and other trusts can be considered as the source offinance for the institution and also goodwill and image of the firm is one of the significantcomponents of these resources.
